I've seen a couple of negative reviews here and believe they must be confusing which restaurant they went to with Sal's. Sal's by Victor located behind Books-A-Million on Richmond Road is quite simply the best Italian restaurant in Hampton Roads. I had not tried it until I began to work at a nearby shop, but this place is both affordable and delicious. For example, for only $5.99 you can have a good sized bowl of homemade soup - flavors change daily - and a "half" sandwich which is at least 8 inches long. They pile on the meat and toppings - the cheesesteak often has to be eaten with a fork! During lunch they keep things casual and inexpensive; at night, they offer more expensive fair with cloth napkins, but also keep the sandwich/soup/salad specials. They offer sub sandwiches, pizza, pasta, and seafood. There are beautiful Italian landscapes on the wall and comfortable seating for all - including my father-in-law who uses a wheelchair. Sal's has won Williamsburg's Best Restaurant every year since 1999! If you're hungry in Williamsburg and especially if you live on a budget, eat at Sal's!

I just wanted to say thank-you to Kurt and Geri Rosell for making my trip to Seasons very nice. It is not everyday that the owners visits with their customers and get to know them. It was my 55th birthday, and I did not tell them but they made it so nice for Elizabeth and myself. Hearing that they were from Military Families and background, Geri being the owner for 23 years, she has done a great job in designing a Restaurant Area so nice. You will not find a better Patio design better then hers. It comes from a European/New Orleans Style Designs, which is so peaceful to the sounds of soft rock music playing. in the background. Not too loud, that you cannot talk with family and friends at the table. We enjoy drinking the Hard Cider on Tap. The BBQ Buffet was very nice and we enjoyed eating from the buffet and I sure do love BBQ.
I have visited this restaurant on numerous occasions. It rated as one of the top Italian Restaurants in Williamsburg year after year. The atmosphere is romantic and the food is delicious. Everything is mad on the spot by the owner. I have tried them all and the only place I have been that can compete with Francesco's food is in Chicago. Comparing the Olive Garden to Francesco's is like comparing a Ford Focus to a Lexus. You get what you pay for when you eat out. I was at Francesco's again tonight and had another wonderful experience.
Superb, high quality food. The staff is welcoming, polite, efficient and unobtrusive. Sauces are fresh - not bottled and the experience of the Chef is evident in the perfect seasonings. Seafood is not overcooked, pasta dishes are not a pile of pasta with a few toppings, this is authentic Italian cuisine and the best I've had in the Hampton Roads area. Do yourself a favor and make a reservation - folks who know superior food will be lined up at the door.
We love their deli sandwiches. Hubby gets the Chandler (roast beef) and I get the Turkey Sub. These are huge sandwiches with all the trimmings. They make a mean pizza, too. I dont think they deliver, but you wont mind driving because you know at the end of the ride is a great meal with some of the best service the Williamsburg area has to offer.
A former resident of Williamsburg and a frequent visitor, I count Sal's as a must-visit restaurant up there with making sure I get a Cheese Shop sandwich. Their pastas are terrific. The pizza is excellent. My favorite is the chicken picatta or marsala. Very family friendly, casual atmosphere - highly recommend.
This is a small place, and the interior is not all that appealing. That said, the pizza was mighty tastey, fresh ingredients, delicious sauce, and yummy cheese. The service was terrific, and we plan to revisit this place later this week to try the gyro before going home from our vacation.
When in Williamsburg we always stop at Season's!!! They have the best food in Williamsburg. Love their happy hour and the bartenders are always friendly and fun.You have to try the RIBS they are the best anywhere!!!!!!!! We highly recommend and the prices are great.
Popped in to give this place a try and was really pleased with a great pizza. Did my own combo, great crust, not too puffy. Lots of topping choices plus a number of specialty options. Subs and other items available. Good addition to the pizza world in the Burg
