Roberts Furniture & Mattress

I liked the easy going, non-pushy sales. Found the sofa we wanted at a price that was reasonable. Had to order the sofa and was told that it would take about 3 weeks to be delivered. That was in January. Still have not seen my sofa. Am told that was shipped 2 weeks ago. Did not realize that my sofa is considered a custom order that according to the receipt is not refundable. I would have taken the floor model, but was told that they prefer not to sell those. Did not order anything special. Would take a full refund at this point as I do not have any idea when my sofa will be delivered.

Roberts Furniture service is either great or horrible - we have seen both. Our first order, the furniture was available locally and it was delivered quickly, no damage, and the delivery guys were very nice. Our second order is, I fear, turning into a nightmare. We ordered furniture, not readily available, over a month ago. Calling last week, we were told the order was held up due to one item. We asked the remaining items to be shipped. A follow up call informed us it was with the shipper. The furniture is in High Point, NC, 261 miles away. This week I called again. Again, I was told it was with the shipper and it would be 7-10 days before it arrived locally for delivery. That is 14-17 days to go 261 miles! In my business, we lose customers within an hour. Very disappointed to say the least. I also researched Liberty Furniture and found a couple scary reviews of problems. Roberts needs to evaluate the furniture they sell and rid them selves of companies that have very poor customer service. By the way, just saw the same furniture on Overstock.com - in stock - and can be delivered in 7 days. I will not buy from them again.
