Today I went to a Lacoste outlet store in the Williamburg, VA Prime one outlets. I am highly unsatisfied with the services I received today. I visited the store today at about 1:30pm with my brother. I am a college student (20 years of age), and my brother is a graduate school student (22 years old). Let me start out by saying that I am a constant customer at Lacoste. I have traveled to multiple countries and purchased Lacoste products from all around. As we entered the store, no one even bothered to greet us. Knowing that Lacoste is a higher end brand, I'd expect that the employees are at least trained to do that. As we stayed in the store, things turned out to get worst and worst. The sales person didn't seem so happy to open a dressing room for us. As my brother tried on several sweatshirts, one of the workers kindly greeted a older female customer who was standing about 10 feet away from me. The female employee asked if everything was alright, and proceeded to walk towards the back room. Problem here is that I was looking at clothes right next to the back room and she didn't even bother to offer any sort of service whatsoever, nor did any of the other employees. As we selected our products and headed to the register, the cashier seemed to have an issue in letting me look at a hat that was behind the register. After I gave it back to him and told him it's not the model I'm looking for, he rudely asked, "so, are you going to get it or not...?" I was speechless at this response. Also, normally at the cash register they ask if everything was alright with their visit in the store, but I didn't hear anything close to that. We purchased over $100 worth of clothes, but I can say I regret doing so by the terrible service we got. I don't understand why I have to receive such poor service. Was it due to our young age? Did we look like we couldn't afford something from this store so they didn't bother wasting their time? This type of service is unacceptable at any retail store, much less one of higher end.
I'm a big fan of ll bean clothes, they hold up for years. I'm not a big fan of their catalog prices, so the outlet is perfect for me. Sometimes the outlet prices are still a little steep, but have patience because they have great sales.
