I've been staying at the Florentine Family Motel in North Wildwood for years. It is an excellent, well run family motel located just steps from the beach and boardwalk. The owners and staff are professional, courteous and treat you like one of the family. They work very hard to make their guests' stay a pleasurable one; and it definitely shows because they do it right every time. As a nurse, I am a stickler for cleanliness. The house keeping staff do an excellent job of having the room clean upon check-in and cleaning it daily for the duration of your stay. When I stay at the Florentine, I feel comfortable knowing I'm in a clean motel room. I plan to continue booking summer vacations at the Florentine for years to come.Peter D.Philadelphia, PA
Less than ZERO stars.DISGUSTING, RUDE, NASTY and he kept the cash security deposit so I guess I can also add THIEF!
My family and I stayed at the island breeze motel last year, the property had just reopened the staff was very friendly. The rooms are clean , the beds are comfortable, & the pool is awesome the sun shines on it all day long. I would recommend this motel to everyone that wants to feel appreciated for spending they're money down at the shore.great bang for your buck
My family and I stayed here for the weekend, all I can say is "FANTASTIC" the location is the best in North Wildwood, the room was very clean, the beds were comfortable, the staff was friendly. The location was great. So close to the boardwalk and Morey's pier. We defiantly would recommend this hotel :) :) :) :)
As my wife and two children walked into, what looked like a closet, check in room my wife and I kept feeling that we just made a mistake by booking this room without reading reviews. First thing we notice was that the website was too generous in the images that we had seen. We had noticed the lack of maintenance around the property, especially on the pool which looked like it had a crack in it. We jokingly laughed, at the condition of the place but thought we'd give it a try (you can't judge a book by it's cover). After we checked in and were in our room, I put on some clean socks, since the floor felt sticky and wet. Walking on the tiled sticky floor consequently made my clean socks dirty. We found there was garbage behind the light stand as I was looking for an outlet to plug my cell phone in, the light stand wasn't even plugged in (there was old food behind the stand, caked dust on the floor and other debris), the power cord line was spliced to make it longer to reach an outlet, and was missing a bulb to add to the fiasco. One of the power outlets we found was missing a cover. The bathroom smelled worse than a public restroom, it smelled as if someone had purposely broke wind right before I walked. My wife made me close the bathroom door since it smelled so bad and my older son had to sit outside since it made him ill. I turned on the shower and the pan started filling with water. The drain was clogged!!! I let the man at the front desk know of this and he came with a toilet plunger into the room and began vigorously plunging as if his life depended on it. Now, to be honest, I don't even use a plunger to unclog my shower drains at home. I use either liquid plumber or a snake. I don't use a plunger that goes in my toilet. He pulled out some garbage out of the drain, showed it to me, and left the room. At that point my other half told me she was about to go sleep in the car with the kids if need be. So she got up, walked across the street and booked a room at the Days Inn. The stress alone that this poor service and unsanitary establishment caused between my wife and I was bad enough. Do yourself a favor and save yourself and your family the hassle of coming here. This is not a clean establishment. On a side note, I have to admit that the guy who plunged our shower was about to offer to change our rooms but at that point we had had enough. Be wary of any place that asks you to pay up front for a room that you haven't seen. This is the first place where were had to pay up front. At the Days Inn they just needed our credit card and then we signed for the balance when we checked out.
I love staying at the Florentine Family Motel! Always a friendly staff willing to help and satisfy the customers. George and Carol are so charming and easy to talk to which makes my visit so much more enjoyable! I would definitely recommend this place to everyone I know staying in the Wildwoods!!
We have been vacationing in Wildwood for the past 22 years and we are so fortunate to have found the Florentine 5 years ago. We have stayed at the Florentine ever since then and we have thoroughly enjoyed our stay each time - it far exceeds any other place we have stayed in Wildwood. The owners, and the staff, are all wonderful people that go out of their way to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. The entire place is very clean and well maintained. We look forward to staying at the Florentine for many years to come!Jim & Polly M.
Love the Florentine! We have been going for 6 years now and would not stay anywhere else in Wildwood- we look forward to it every year!!
you got a pet, stay here. Rates not bad, rooms clean to a Tee, staff try hard to please, and right across from ocean. Without a pet I would stay at a motel with a pool but, me and my dog....Rus Mars the place.
A great family Motel... Very, very clean rooms and surrounding area. Super friendly staff! Close to the beach and boardwalk. Awesome prices as well.. It's the only place we will stay while in Wildwood!!
