This location has very friendly and skilled staff, eager to help and always willing to go the extra mile to make your banking experience a good one! They have helped me at no charge in many instances when they - by the rules- could have charged me a fee!
Terrible. This review is not only about this location but all. I have called multiple times trying to do business with them. Not only was setting up online account access horrible, so was paying off my loan and closing my account. The customer service representatives are powerless to act and are therefore very reactive. Last time I spoke with them I was the one coming up with solutions to my problems. I was sent to a "manager" to help me and they couldn't even come up with ways to help. When it comes to banking they are in the stone age. If you are affiliated with the military stick to USAA.
BOA overall sucks. They have just gouged my wife and I for the last $35 overdraft fee they will ever get from us. They are super efficient in waiting to debit your account until that debit amount will overdraft you then post it and quicly charge their fee. We just took it for granted that our money was in good hands. Not paying attention for a few years then got bored a few days ago and decided to pull up our acct online. WOW 19 OVERDRAFTS IN 13 MONTHS. F**K YOU BANK OF AMERICA. YOU PREY ON HARDWORKING FAMILIES SUCH AS OURS. SHAME ON YOU

Can't even give this company a 1/2 star, even though the computer is making me give them one. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE...they never return phone calls or emails and they give us wrong info, etc. DON'T BANK HERE unless you want to feel like they don't care if they have your business or not Can't wait to take our business elsewhere.
Beware of your loan balance. Equity Bank uses Interest 9 or I9 software to calculate their loan balances. This was found by a court of law to be flawed and charged additional interest. Equity Bank did not even do the math to determine why we questioned the payoff of our loan and we had to go all the way to trial before they admitted the mistake.
If someone who banks there writes you a personal check, Meritrust requires you to provide for them and allow them to retain your personal information in a 'profile' stored on their computers. They would not tell me what they do with this information, but if one has i.d. that was always sufficient to cash a check written on their institution in the past. The staff was extremely patronizing and didn't care about my concerns or answer my questions.
UPDATE: I received two phone calls from Valley State Bank and a letter from the bank president apologizing and vowing to correct the matter. Because the company cares enough to do that, I am updating my review. I still cannot give 5 stars due to the initial encounter but 4 stars seem appropriate given VSB's exceptional response.On the road between OKC and Wichita. Far from home and needing cash I could not remember my PIN for the ATM. Called Visa and was told to take my ID and credit card into any bank to get a cash advance. Stopped at Valley State Bank. Was told by a rude manager that they only help "members." Needless to say they won't get a member out of me. If they can't come through for me when I need them - why would I ever give them my business? Drove down the road to Emprise Bank who helped me out, no questions asked.
