Not very professional. Will nickle and dime you.Highly not recommend if your land lord uses them. Never gave us a list of what to do in order to receive the most out of your down deposit. Kate never returns calls. Its been 2 weeks past the 30 days that law requires them to send a refund from the down deposit and itemized list of what came out of the down deposit. Need to say not very professional in the aspect of property management unless your the land lord. If the blue collar worker i would not recommend these guys. Stay Clear.
This was the worst experience we have ever had with a contractor. We do NOT recommend Proscape. We recently settled on a final bill so we could end our business relationship with them and get them off our property. Proscape was hired to build two retaining walls in our back yard, but a portion is so crooked it has to be removed and rebuilt. They tore up four times as much yard as they estimated. We are unhappy with the quality of several other items in the contract. We learned of financial issues from suppliers because Proscape was late in paying bills, which caused delays to our project. Proscape tried to bill us for additional delivery charges that should have been included in their initial bid. Proscape had booths at the Wichita Home Show, and also the Outdoor Living and Landscape Show last year, and the owner made many representations that were not fulfilled. Our “two to three week” project took several more months than promised. We have hired another contractor to fix the crooked wall and complete unfinished items. We learned some valuable lessons through a very bad experience. If you need to hire a contractor, here are our suggestions: 1.Look at WABAhome.com (click on Home Buyers, then Selecting a Contractor) for things to consider when choosing a contractor. 2.Check out online reviews for contractors at BBB.org, Yelp.com, YellowPages (YP.com), Google Reviews (on Google Maps), and Angieslist.com. There are other review sites too. 3.DON’T trust Facebook for reviews. The contractor controls what is posted on their site.4.Always get references. Talk to the suppliers that the contractor will use for your project (the contractor has this information). The suppliers can tell you if the contractor pays their bills and are reputable. Talk to customers of the contractor (the contractor should give you this if you ask) and go see the project the contractor did for them. Photos may or may not be the contractor’s work. 5.After you find several contractors with good references, get several bids. You will learn a lot about the project from the contractors.6.Get it in writing. Any changes to the contract need to be signed by both parties. Any additional charges need to be specified and signed by both parties. 7.Get a firm completion date and put it in writing. (We put in a penalty clause, and our contractor had to eventually start taking money off the final bill because they took so long.)8.Remember that nice displays at a home or garden show don’t guarantee quality or reliability on the job.
I have been forced by my HoA to use this company’s services for 3 years since buying my home in 2013. From the beginning their quality of work has been hit and miss at best. They have a simple job… mow, edge and blow for our entire community. Of these three responsibilities, they often just forget to blow or edge. On more them one occasion, I have had to call them back out to finish their work. When they do come back out it is with a poor attitude and rude manner. The last time I called them out for just completely “forgetting” to edge anywhere in the entire community that week the owner Aaron Smith asked me straight to my face, “why are you being so difficult”. To this I replied “I am not being difficult I simply expect you to do your job”. He obviously did not like that answer as he was about halfway done edging and blowing the backyard and he just stopped and left.
Very unhappy with the service provided. Called them because we wanted to have a nice looking lawn and we needed some guidance and help. Instead we got a company that is only interested in what they can spray on the lawn, not what it is going to take to fix the yard and make it healthy. I called them in early March, because I knew we would have to reseed this year, because we had some brown spots in the yard. Instead of telling us we needed to plant seed in March, when they diagnosed what our lawn needed, they told us we needed to have the yard sprayed with fertilizer and pre-emergent. They didn't bother to tell us that once they sprayed the yard, we wouldn't be able to put down any seed until fall. I don't understand why they didn't tell us that BEFORE they sprayed, giving us the option to plant seed this year. I don't think Custom should be in their name at all, since all they really want to do is show up, spend 15 minutes spraying the yard and leave you a bill. I guess I know what questions to ask the next company I hire.
Bad business. My grandpa hired this company to rid his yard of "stickers". Yet he is still out there daily uprooting them cause this company failed to live up to the agreement that by spraying his yard he wouldnt be bothered by stickers anymore. Not to mention he was charged $75.11 for service he had cancelled 2 weeks prior. Disappointed in their work, he will not hire them to do the job again!!!!
