I've banked with Intrust for over 10 year. Over the years they have tried a few shady changes to the accounts even settling a class action lawsuit involving these checking accounts. but the reason for the bad review is for the most resent change. They are taking a way free checking and charging $10 per account. Years ago I set up three FREE checking accounts two for paying bills from and one for daily expensive/ Debit card trans action. This was a vary successful way for me to prevent overdrafts. a direct deposit come in auto transfers would split the funds in to each account and bills would get paid on time with no over drafts. They now require five stipulation to reduce the $10 Fee Three of witch where deal breakers. One you must make 25 debit transaction a month the two bills account I would never meet this. Two you must average $1000 daily balance. For me over $2000 flow in and out of the three accounts but my daily average is only about $200 or less due to paying bills before there due to prevent late charges. Ironic is these two actually contradict them self. Save you money no wait spend it in more than 25 places! And Three you must have a Intrust bank credit card or personal loan. I actually have one with them so in not because they require it its because when I applied for it, they at first denied me for three bogus reason and I had to argued with upper management to get it approve. yet another contradiction requiring a loan there not approving good credit worth people for. Please join me in moving to banks and credit unions who appreciate their customers!
