My paycheck was stolen at this location and no one cared. It was a moment of distraction on my part. I came back from a week away and it was payday. I got my paycheck, cashed it, and put it in the glove box while I went grocery shopping.When I returned the car, my $1200 cash envelope (with my drivers' license) was still in the glove box. When I came back to get it, the car was already cleaned and rented. The person at the counter was very evasive and told me he'd call his manager and let me know TOMORROW (!) what they found out. I got to talk to the manager later that day. He informed me that they are always supposed to check certain areas of the car during cleanup. The glove box was one. He claims that they must have missed it this time....Either way, someone walked away with $1200 of my money. I own that I forgot it in the glove box, but the company either did not follow protocols or one of their employees got a sizable "bonus" at my family's expense. The worst part is that no one cared. The employee at the East Wichita location did nothing to help. The manager was sympathetic, but mostly unhelpful. All calls to corporate were met with simple buck-passing. Maybe all of these people make so much money that they can afford to have someone steal their paycheck, but I found it horrible that not one person seemed to care. Even a little bit. Well, I did get a canned, form letter email from the district manager, but no follow-up responses to my requests for someone to at least ask some questions.Thanks Avis. You could have helped. You made the conscious decision not to. To the employee responsible: I hope you enjoyed my family's grocery money.
Have used them often in the past. Lately service seems to be getting increasingly worse. Order a family size car for a thousand mile trip only to have them try to give me a Mustang. A little hard to put two near six footers and luggage in the back. Another occasion, order same style vehicle only to have them try to give me something else. Told me once they only gave out from the pool of vehicles that were coming into that office. I told them I made a reservation an ample time out and customers order vehicles with their needs in mind. Fuel economy, room and comfort and I asked why I should bother requesting a certain type of vehicle when they manage their assets that way, They didn't seem to have an answer, just said, "well that's all we've got". You can upgrade to an SUV for a higher fee. After some discussion and viewing my disapointment to them, they did come up with what I asked for. Why did I have to show displeasure to get there? I called to speak to a manager, haven't heard back yet. We will see. I think my next reservation will be made through Avis.
From the reservation, to the estimated price at the counter, to the pick-up (free upgrade too), to the drop-off, and finally the final price ($40 lower than estimated), the customer service was second-to-none. The location is also convenient (right near the turnpike). The car was in great shape and was very pleasant/easy to drive. I will definitely use this Avis again if I need a car in the area again.Jay O
MIslead by reservation agent, and unhelpful local agent in setting up getting a car on the 21st of April! I had to request help from another location! Yesterday we exchanged what we didn’t ask for nor wanted to drive for something else at the Airport. We had to wait 9 days get what we were told was to be reserved for us less than an hour previously? I was treated as if I had two heads & no brain! The staff inside was unfriendly, inattentive, and assertively rude! Being it was only 8am, I asked the guy in the suit & no tie why they were so hostile & if his attitude was what the company wanted him teaching the staff? His responsive is why I will never go back. Oh, the drop off Tech was the only professional that was polite and helpful! he should be training a manager!
I recently rented a car at the Wichita airport. Wow!!What a great group. I was especially impressed with the service I received from Mr. Nicholas Reif. I believe he is one of the managers here and he really went above and beyond to find me just the right vehicle. Even better, he upgraded me to a better choice when he realized that a pickup with AWD would serve my needs better, given the possibility of bad weather that rolled in that weekend (ice storm). Because my farm is in the country, this really meant a lot when the bad weather did arrive. This is a first class company and I will be back to use them again. I would encourage any of you to call the branch directly at 316-946-1895 and ask for Nicholas directly to serve your needs. They listen to their customers, and try to exceed your expectations. In my case, they really delivered.Grateful customer. One more thing, there will always be some people that will whine about a poor experience. It is called fake news. For a second time this year, I've dropped off a car before employees were on site only to receive an emailed statement including charges that were not correct, i.e. fuel service charge. It took a phone call directly to the location for resolution which they did. Wondering if this is a common practice? Be sure to check your bill against what was quoted when booking was made.
rented a car for 12 days,was very impressed with quality of the car and the service,easy in and out..will be using Enterprise again on my next visit
They let me choose from 3 cars, which was the only good thing about the experience. The car I chose smelled like an ash tray and I drove it for a weekend with a terrible headache all weekend due to the smoke smell. Not to mention I had my two young kids with me most of the time I was driving the car. Now their car seats and clothes and everything smell like smoke. Then I got the receipt emailed to me, and I had been charged almost $80 more than what my booking confirmation email says I would be charged.
I have rented here several times and the customer service has always been of the highest standards. The cars are always well maintained.
