I brought in a 1946 s wheat penny only this particular penny has a flaw. My penny has 19FG. The FG is over the 46 plan as day! The two men working the store denied the FG was there and said they only saw a 46. The two men said no flaw like that existed on the books. Well I already knew that! The coin has been sent to certified and will be put in the books as a new find. Should bring in a fabulous pay out in auction!!! Sorry for there luck! VERY DISHONEST SHADY STORE!
Very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Explained valuations nicely. Very relaxed, no pressure a atmosphere. We will go back to them without a doubt.
I had a very different experience that ehushour. I haven't been collecting coins since I was a kid. Both my mother and my in-laws had saved a number of coins - several hundred. Twenty years after their passing, it got me back into coin collecting. After reading ehushour's review, I was leery about going to Heartland. I did decide to check them out. I needed some coin holders in any case. I also took an 1878-s Morgan dollar with me.When I got there, it was quite busy. Within five minutes I was being helped. I mentioned that I had come into a fair number of coins and was getting interested in collecting again. Even though that, other than buying $3.75 worth of collecting supplies, it was clear that I wasn’t buying or selling anything on this visit, he took all the time I wanted to answer all my questions about resuming coin collecting. He gave me a fair assessment of the Morgan dollar. All in all, it was a good experience. I don’t know (yet) if they have the best prices either for buying or selling, but they seemed reasonable. If you are thinking about going there, I suggest you go and post something about your experience.
Rudest people I've ever encountered. Ever. May not have had coins that were worth much but suggested I sell on EBay??? Sure that makes tons of sense. Never again. And their coin selection was very poor.
