I went here and I had a bad experience. I waited and waited to get helped and they didnt help me. Of course, I was a walk-in, but they told me that they would get to me, but they never did. So I just walked out. Will probably never go back to this salon.
I went into Bliss Nails on Friday. I asked for an acrylic full set w/gel paint & color change on my toes, reg polish. The salon is clean & spacious- beautiful really. The nail techs were nice & hospitable. But that's were the excellence of my experience ends. They upsold me doing the nail dip over gel & they push it hard. The tech assigned 2 me did not glue the fake nails onto my real nails correctly; as there is a gap btw my real nail and the fake nail. She cut my pinkie finger with scissors trying 2 shape the nail extension that she had already glued to my hand. It was not a small cut as the whole process came 2 a halt 2 deal w/ the fact that I was bleeding. While filing my nails, she rubbed my the skin around 2 nails raw w/ the emery board. I ask for a subtle length, which was ignored, & so I acquiesced 2 a longer length bc by this point I had been in the salon for at least 2 hours. Then while the top coat was drying, it clouded up & looked terrible. Another tech came over & explained 2 me that the humidity- which is beyond their control- can make the top coat cloud up really bad. So they used a nail file to scratch off the murky top coat and paint over it again. Ruining the glossy clean look that you are paying a nail tech2 provide- on 6 of 10 nails no less. In spite of the fact that the more season nail tech saw and witnessed the whole manicure and was aware of the fact that several errors occurred during my 3 hours in their salon, she still felt it was appropriate to charge me full price. I went back on Monday 2 have them reshape my nails bc they were too long for practicality. The seasoned tech trimmed down the length but did not care 2 make sure that the nail tops were straight anymore, used a high powered nail drill 2 sand more skin raw 2 blister, & when she noticed the gaps between my real nails and the fake nails decided that instead of offering 2 correct the issue properly, she would just shove enough nail glue down the tops 2 fill the gap.Beware
I decided to give this place a try. I walked in to a clean, well maintained salon. The decor is different from most other nail salons. It was bright and inviting. My nail tech greeted me and was friendly. I showed her a picture of what I wanted, a very simple solid color with one accent finger done in a glitter type polish. She picked out the polishes and began to work on my nails. When she began clipping and shaping my nails, I noticed she wasn't doing a very good job. When she completed the shaping she showed me my nails and asked for approval on the shape and length. I appreciated that. However, the nails were uneven in length and each one was longer on one side than the other. I asked her to correct them and that's when things changed. She did correct them but the second time around, they were still rough to the touch. Sharp on the ends if you will. She corrected that at my request. The solid color went on fine. She then applied the glitter polish and it was transparent. I asked if she had a different polish. Then she tells me she's going to charge me $2 extra for this glitter powder. She never explained she was using something that would cost me extra. When she finished applying it, I noticed it was very rough and not smooth at all. She said that's just how it is, it's glitter. I explained that wasn't okay. She then filed/buffed the polish and put a clear coat over it. That solved the problem. However, she missed a spot on the side of my nail completely, that I had to ask her to fix and then while my solid shellac color was being applied, she bumped my finger and smudged it. I pointed out the flaw and she said, "it's okay, it's shellac, it won't be noticeable." Well, she's wrong. Where she bumped it, is matte, where as the rest of the nail has a sheen to it. It's been 2 days since I was there and the glitter polish is almost all of the way off. My solid color is chipping and coming off. I would advise against this salon until their techs get better.
I love how they try to talk with you, they are all so friendly! Always works with you. And they are easy to understand . I alway go to them.
Just awful! Worst $35 I've ever spent! The woman who did my nails was rude, hateful, careless, and way too rough. My nails look like a 5 year-old did them. I'll never go there again and wish I could get my money back.
Love my nails! This place is no joke. I’ve been to lots of other nail salons in Wichita, but this salon is beyond amazing! The staff are very hardworking and provide the best service possible to make my nails the best they’ve ever been! They’re super creative! I had an idea of what designs I wanted, but they made them even prettier than I would’ve imagined! This place is definitely my go-to salon from now on!
If I could do no stars I would. The male tech I had was terrible. My nails looked bad enough I had to have them redone the next day. They charged $55 for a basic pedicure when it was listed as $25. Terrible.
The absolute worst place I've EVER gotten my nails done at. The lady cut me with the drill multiple times (I will be looking into if she has a nail technician license or not) & did an awful job shaping & painting my nails. They are not anywhere close to even . She put me through a lot of pain & couldn't care less . I got shellac & the color is already starting to change. Not only was the technician absolute garbage but she had the nerve to get mad at me because I didn't like the first color she put on. Considering I was the ONLY customer in there, you'd think the lady could have taken her time, but she was in the biggest hurry. EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL & RUDE. I've never left a bad review for any nail salon but this had to be done. Wouldn't want someone else going & spending their valuable money with people who don't deserve it in the slightest . I wouldn't go back there if someone paid me. I've been to the majority of nail salons in Wichita & would recommend ANY of them over Mimi's.
Everything is good. The place is very clean, everyone is professional. The workers take care of you there. I would definitely come back.
