“It Gets Worse....”

This is the 3rd time I've stayed at the "resort". Everytime the service gets worse and the level of quality drops. This may be acceptable for those renting RV pads... However, people that rent the cabins in a promoted resort environment (at a premium) require more.

My most recent stay included challenges with pests, ongoing power outages and no soap or other hygiene items provided. The TVs are a joke...unless you like to watch on a small screen and pretend you are watching through a snow blizzard...

Last year I made reservations a year in advance and I was later notified that "there was a double booking" and I would have to "consider other options"....which ended up costing me considerable more. In order to accommodate the additional beds needed as a result of the changed rooms, I was promised that there would be beds moved in that would be of great quality. What was delivered (after a follow-up notice) were fold-up beds that were a foot off the ground and very unstable. They collapsed on two of the men staying in our group.

In addition to the considerable noise (continuous cars driving by the cabins and the loud nearby train traffic) lack of electricity and other functional concerns, it was not worth the price and a very unpleasant stay overall. Other reviews seem to be related to the campgrounds...maybe okay... However, the cabins are a totally different price point and don't provide the quality or value expected or level of service promoted.

The experience itself was very nice but my experience with the owner completely soured my viewpoint. She called me the next day very rude, condescending and unprofessional saying we left the cabin "deplorable" and they were charging us a cleaning fee.
Was the cabin messy? Yes, we were provided one small trash can and no cleaning supplies. I would have been more understanding of it were not for the fact a member of our group specifically asked for a broom and cleaning supplies and was told THREE times that they take care of cleaning. She even told them there was 9 kids at this party so she didn't want to leave it like that but they told her no several times.

Only to call me and try to charge me when there is nothing about cleaning in the contract. I have never been spoken to so rudely in all of my life I'm in shock. Especially after paying $300 for one night there and trying to clean after.
Never again.

My husband and I stayed in the Cozy Cottage back in August for our anniversary. We had a fantastic time. The office staff was very helpful and friendly and the cottage was a dream! I can't wait to visit again!
