Gold Buyers in Wichita Falls, TX

Had a little gold ring that I walked in to sell. After checking the scrap gold calculator with MidStates Recycling for current gold scrap prices, I inquired with these two business owners about the discrepancy and I was respectful and I immediately stated that I wasn't accusing them of anything, I was just asking to be educated on the process and the reason for the great discrepancy between the per gram value of gold stated paid by a recycler, vs. what this "broker" was offering? This male and female behind the counter immediately became quite arrogant and hostile. Hey, I'm a free market libertarian and I don't begrudge anyone making a profit and I am aware there is a difference between what gold is trading for to wholesale, as scrap, etc and that middlemen who buy have to make profit. But these two nitwits were flat out obstinate and abusive at any question being directed to them, as if they're too good for that. What I got was exclamations that they have bills to pay and don't make enough on buying gold to pay their bills, etc. Well, that's not really my problem, and they're obviously still open for business, but they have condescending attitudes. The a-hole male at the location, at my mere question in wanting to know more about the process, responded that it wasn't worth the few dollars he would make on the ring to even answer my question, so he told me I could take the ring back. I really didn't have an intention to before they acted like jackasses, I just wanted to get a satisfactory answer to one question that made sense to me, but after their response I was more than happy to take my ring back and walk out of that place because of their attitudes. Perhaps these people wouldn't be in such a jam and would be doing more volume business if they weren't such arrogant asses, and instead actually took the time to treat a customer with respect and answer a question, rather than giving attitude to anyone who poses a fair question to them. The female rudely stated "sell it to the internet then." That was great advice.
