Terrible ride to JFK.Instead of a SUV as agreed, Intrepid sent me a large sedan.The driver had several shopping bags with groceries that took a lot of the space in the trunk.
zero stars exact experience as Sheng C below the dispatcher was rude and said i had to talk faster as there were other phones ringing and hung up when i tried to change my reservation. The car that first picked me up driver was also rude and the car was dirty and smelt of smoke. cancelled my retun trip reservation the service was so bad
When you catch a driver on he road, this is a great service. When I tried to call, the receptionist kept telling me that there were no drivers available. EVER?!!! Terrible service
Like the service always on time
I've never had a good experience with this company. One time me and my wife who is physically disabled due to an accident were waiting for the intrepid taxi we called. It was winter and had snowed like crazy so there were mounds of snow everywhere. There was only one place the taxi could pick us up and we were standing there. When the taxi came i raised my hand to let him know we were the people who called. He wizzed by and pulled up next to a car which was next to a 7 foot mound of snow in front of the sidewalk. We tried waving our arms to get him to come back but he just sat there. So it was either hurtle a mountain of snow and a parked car, and then take out the window with my fist like an action movie star because you couldn't open the door or walk in traffic and risk getting flattened by traffic by going in the driver side door. So we had pick walking in traffic. As soon as we finally got in the cab the driver proceeded to yell at us for apparently not letting him know where we were. If I had no self control I would have choked when he said that. I told him we were waving our arms and trying our hardest to get him to come back and then asked him why he would think pulling up where he did made any sense at all and then he just repeated himself because he was ignoring what I said. So yelled"Whatever go!". It was pointless to try to make any sense to him because he wasn't listening. Every single time i've called them the driver had a hot temper or just simply gave us a bad experience. This company should fold!
Car was late picking us up while we waited outside in the cold,so we hailed a different taxi coming by. I didn't have to, but to be nice I called Intrepid to tell them that so the driver didn't show up and wait for us, and the dispatcher told us we were being "very disrespectful" to the driver by not waiting, even if he was late, and not to call the company for a taxi again. Don't worry!
Nice clean cars, fast service, courteous driver. Hermel was the nicest man because i was in a hurry and he helped me put my stuff in the trunk and drove at the speed limit with care but with my time frame in mind. I will definitely use Intredid again.
I took Splendid on 3 separate occasions. 2 were from my house to the White Plains train station, and one to my house from the White Plains train station. First time the fare was $5.80, second fare was $6.60 to the station. On a return, I had to share a taxi with two others. The return trip to my home was $8.00. Very disappointed in the fare structure and the fact that I had to share a taxi. The driver was rude when I asked him why it was so much more and he said lady that is the fare. I called the company and they said that all trips should only have been $6.60. Too bad they don't post the zones somewhere so that a client doesn't get ripped off. Next time I use them I will ask what the fare is.
The call center is terrible. Our company has the contract with them which drives us to work everyday. Normally there is one coordinator on behalf of us to contact them but she is on vavation now. I had to ring the company tonight and book by myself. But the customer service assistant was so rude and almost yelled to me when i tried to explain i am not the coordinator but need the car. He seemed so rush to cut off the line crudely. I felt rather humiliatingly and furious. Never have seen any taxi company like them.
I had been a customer for a pretty long time, but have chosen to no longer use. Early 8 am if you need to be at the White Plains train station or to your job make sure you call 30 minutes before. The taxi is constantly late 20 minute so don't count on a fast ride to your destination. The woman who takes the calls is very rude....
