Unfortunately, the second person to get food poisoning at this establishment within the last 3 months had to be me (see reviewer Trevor S.) I went there for lunch on May 10th and had the steak salad and soup (a dish I have had there many other times without issue). I always eat the same dish and drink the same wine, and not long after having this meal this time, I was rushed to the emergency room with severe vomiting and muscle weakness. I even passed out in the wheelchair and had to have an EKG done. I was there for over 4 hours in a terrible state, but what is more upsetting is the way the Hudson Grille management handled my situation upon being told what had just happened after eating at their place. Most decent and compassionate owners of any restaurant would have gone out of their way to make things right. Not this one. I was given every lame reason for what could have caused my illness from “a bug going around” to “he called all the customers who ate at the restaurant around the same time I did” to see if anyone else had gotten sick, to even insinuating that I got sick from drinking too much….at 1 in the afternoon????? In other words, he did not even consider that it could have happened at his establishment. That one of his cooks could have ill or been careless with the handling of my food. A real class act! Now, I am stuck with a hospital bill of over $3,000! I even went as far as to provide my medical records which include a report that clearly states that the probable cause of my sickness was from food poisoning. I am disgusted with the management, who also own Lilly’s next door, and I will never return to their establishments. Stay clear of this place!
