Worst place for anybody to go for treatment. Whatever you do avoid this place at all costs. All they do is try to get the most money from you or the system. The counselor's are some low level wanna be thugs, who think they are ex-cons because they spend months in a jail. First they treat the women different from the men. Men have to go in with a counselor to watch them pee. Women close the door in privacy to pee and store their own urine specimen. RIP Danielle, died of an herione overdose at YWCA because of poor monitoring and supervision. They aren't obviously watching the women close enough, they are negligent in that part.Second they treat you like a criminal. Their plan is to keep you there for as long as they can. If you are a different race or creed they will supervise and make you feel apart. I give this place a zero rating but it would not let me. I don't know why this place exists. Go find elsewhere, please for your well being. Be carefull if you have money they think that you will kill yourself. They will destroy your life and livelyhood.
"Kana" was extremely rude and unprofessional, immediately labels you as an addict, it's unorganized, not accommodating at all
This place is a real racket that preys on the elderly and handicapped. They are only in business because they were clever enough to locate themselves right across from White Plains Hospital, and actively mislead their customers int o believing they are affiliated the hospital.
Agency sent a Home Health Aide, an abusive and unprofessional Sarah Lovett for 3 weeks to care for my father. The aide had a foul attitude daily and used abusive language toward my husband and daughter. Complaints were made to the home health agency People Care Inc of White Plains numerous times. Agency coordinators Luz and Heather did nothing to counsel HHA despite repeated complaints and request to remove aide Sarah Lovett from the case.Having dealt with many HHA agencies in the past to assist with caring for my parents and mother in laws at various times over the years I must state this agency is the worst I've ever seen.
Neighbors helped my family and me care for my mother before she died. Anna who was our night aide the last week of my mother's life was an extraordinarily kind and caring person. She was skilled at taking care of both my mother and our family in what was an intimate and very delicate situation. She was present and in charge without being intrusive. She was very caring and gentle with my mother and helped guide us through a very difficult week.
I cannot begin to tell you how significant the differences were between the aides from Neighbors and the aides I've had from other agencies. Neighbors' aides were wonderful, warm people... so well trained, so professional and so experienced. In their care my mother became more confident, more relaxed and so much more optimistic. I've had to call them in the middle of the night and there is always someone on the other end of the line to answer the phone and help us out... not an answering service but a real person. I would highly recommend Neighbors to anyone looking for home care for their parents.
