Loredos

We have been going to Loredos for years, almost 20 to be exact. There was a time, before the Waldorf and LaPlata areas were built up with lots of restaurant choices, that you could wait over 30 minutes for a table. They are not ever very busy now though and if you go a couple times the waitress will remember your drink order and for us the entire order. The food is almost always great and cooked to order. They offer a wide variety of Mexican dishes as well as some American ones. My husband isn't into their Mexican food, but whenever we are in the area he loves to get a steak. You wouldn't expect a Mexican place to have great steaks, but they do! The steaks are always good and always cooked exactly as you order them. They also have a mean margarita. They have a nice fireplace but I can't say that I have seen it on in the past few years. They have a bar area with tv, keno, one of those video game things and the horse racing. I've never played any of them but I do see people doing it all the time. There are some big table in the bar area that can easily seat six people, more with kids maybe. Then there is also a large table down in the main dining area. They have a back room you can rent out as well.



Give Loreods a try if you have never been there, or if you have and don't remember. Its a great place, not far from either LaPlata or Waldorf and you won't have to wait even on a Friday night.
