We are on an autofill program. We always run out of propane because they don't show up when they should and when we do run out we have to wait at least a week (in the middle of winter) for them to come fill. They also cannot take care of their billing correctly. They never process our payment and assign it to the correct account, even though it is written on the check.

If there was an option for 0 stars that is what they would get. We started a payment plan and said we were locked in at that rate, the next year they more than doubled my monthly price. When I stopped paying because we were going back and forth about prices they said they were coming to disconnect my tank (it was not even their tank, we owned it) it was the middle of November and I have a baby in the house. There customer service representatives were rude. I am very dissatisfied with this company.

2 years ago got tired of alternate winter months of $300-350 fill-ups. Went to the all year monthly payment plan of $120 a month. A year later it jumped to $145 a month. What the ...... This last winter it jumped to $255 a month and I blew a gasket. I was told it had been a hard winter. Bull. I have been using about the same amounts since we moved in 10 years ago. I started checking around and found this company is routinely charging a $1.00 a gallon more than other companies in the area. I am NOW seriously looking for a replacement company. I wanted to change companies immediately but was told I would have to pay off the $1200 balance before they would remove the tank. I can't tell you how PO'd I am. Just finished paying that off and NOW l am seriously looking for another company. What a rip off.
I was charged $1.00 more per gallon than any other competitor because they said (you rent a tank from us). That doesn't make any sense. Why should I get charged more when I pay rent on a tank. It always takes 2 weeks for a refill after I call also.
Terrible customer service, terrible rates, terrible, terrible, terrible.
I got burned by steam because of an illegal hot water heater lit by Gary at Subpropane. Can't even apologize for a mistake like a man, has to make lame excuses and lie instead. Charge us for safety classes they ignore. Number 1 priority is to get money any way they can so they can pay off all these lawsuits. Anyone who insists on doing business with Subpropane is a whole lot less than honest.

Doubled the price on my tank in one year and they were charging me $5.15 per gallon of gas. I have done business with Sawyer/Johnson Gas also Suburban Propane Fernandina, (yes, they have three names!) in Fernandina Beach for years and know them personally. Now I can't even get through to the Fernandina branch, I have to speak to someone in Jacksonville. I just had them come and get their tank, I'm done! They are terrible! I wouldn't give them 1 star!
Hate them! They deliver whenever the hell they feel like it and expect to be paid immediately, even if the bill is humongous. Stay away from them.
