Hollywood is the ""Best'

Hollywood bingo is the nicest bingo hall around. The prices there are affordable and Jane and Janet who own the hall are great. It is sad that people have to make comparisons about one bingo hall to the next. If you don't agree with how some groups run their bingos then go to the hall you enjoy playing at. I have played at many bingo halls and bingo is bingo you either win or lose its all about going out and having fun. Its not the responsibility of the groups to play your fireball cards if you are not able to be there the night they play that game. And the Mystic Mountain all groups who play that game will take your name and number and call you if you are the winner. As for the security officer he does his job there at Hollywood Bingo. He knows everyone by name and willing to help where needed. Hollywood Bingo Rocks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Slammers Is Better then Hollywood Bingo For Many Reasons!

Well, first of all I must say I am a regular at Slammers, but decided to give this little hall ""Hollywood Bingo"" a try a few times. Let's just say I am abandoning this little canker sore in Wheat Ridge and will go back to Slammers instead. Let me explain why. Here are my reasons:

1. The prices cannot compete with Slammers. Packs are a lot more expensive here. They run $7 a pack and do not begin to go down in price til you have purchased at least 4 packs or do the TED thing. Hollywood cost for 2 packs = $14 - cost at Slammers for $14 you get 4 packs. I win all the time at Slammers simply because you can afford a whole table full of cards and the TEDS are a REALLY, competitive deal as well.

2. I have witnessed some things here that I simply do not like and am shocked to see at a Bingo parlor. One having to do with a hall employee's friend going back behind the pickle counter and playing pickles and conversing with the help and then bragging about a $500 win. After seeing that I defo refuse to play pickles at Hollywood.

3. Lax security - The security guard can be found anywhere BUT guarding the facility. He acts as a janitor most of the time which does not make me feel all that safe. How can this guy be guarding properly when he is going into the mens and womens bathrooms every five minutes yelling ""janitor"" cleaning up in there, dumping your trash bin over and over again and not manning the front of the place? Security's job is SECURITY! Can't the parlor afford a seperate janitorial person or have a game employee do it afterward?

4. DO NOT DO NOT bother to play any of those teaser games like Mystic Mountain, Fire Ball, etc. etc. after they have sold one bucket at Hollywood. They rarely if ever sell 2 buckets and refuse to save your tickets and let you write your name and number on them like every other hall in the Denver metro area lets you do in case you are not planning to go back to the exact same session, same night the next week. This just seems to be a way for this one particular group to make you come back and spend more money with them. Slammers ALWAYS allows you to leave any winning numbered tickets with them with your name and number and will call you if you happen to be the winner. The fact that Hollywood bingo is doing this is a gip. I made the mistake of buying 10 of those fireball tickets and had 4 potential winners but guess what? Hollywood has now put a stop to letting you put your name and number on them and having the courtesy of giving you a phone call if you happen to be a winner. Either that - or this particular group has been lying about doing this the whole time. I was recently told that their employees in this group did not possibly have the time to watch people's tickets the next week if the customer could not make it back the same night the next week. In my job I cannot predict which nights I can and cannot go back to bingo. They will gladly take your money to play these extra pickle type games but will not play the game fairly. Clearly if you hold ticket # 14 for instance on a game like Mystic Mountain and it is called then that is the winner of the game period!!! Simply throwing your ticket in the trash and altering the game out of their sheer laziness is in effect altering the outcome of the game and should not be allowed - yet it is with a certain group at Hollywood Bingo. So, please do not waste your money if one bucket of these specialty games has already sold out. There are simply not enough players to ensure that the second bucket will sell out - it seldom does, mainly due to lack of a certain group's uneagerness to go around and sell out the tickets. Other parlors allow you to give your name and phone # should your ticket # be called and them not doing this is the equivilant to throwing your winning tickets in the trash. There are too many reasons why I choose not to play much at Hollywood Bingo.
