very rude..called to get information to bring in two pets, the lady caught a attitude with me and left me on hold... kool no problem my pets can go somewhere else. My money is good else where. im trying to be nice in this review but would i recommend ...HELL NO ..they don't deserve one star...a%H&^les
Worst Doctor's visit experience ever, I brought my Lovebird in for her first vet visit.I was very excited this excitement soon turned into a nightmare. Some assistant took the bird in the back without me!! Then 3 minutes later brought the bird in her cage back to me and says she is great and looks good. No examination, nothing I never even met the Doctor!!!!!! (Outraged) I did not have a chance to speak with him about my bird and her health. Then they charged me for a wing clipping she did not recieve. But by this point I was so outraged I just wanted to get out of there. I would not bring any animal to a Doctors office with this kind of attention to detail or service level. Dr. Louviere thanks for nothing, Sorry I never got the chance to meet you, all I wanted was 5 minutes of your time which I was willing to pay for and a few seconds to chat about my lovebirds health.
If i could rate this visit lower than awful I would!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Please, Take my advice stay away from this place!!!!!!

I've had my fair share of waiting and dealing with vets offices, but this place takes the cake. Not only are all the receptionists rude, but you'll be lucky if you ever get to see an actual doctor. I could stand up at the counter for five minutes and not get a single greeting, then you get to wait forever (since they don't take appointments) only to hand your pet off to some stranger and have no clue what they're actually doing to your animal.
Their blatant poor treatment towards me makes me question what goes on with my pet behind closed doors. How hard is it for the doctor to take a minute to speak with the owner about their pet? Obviously we bring our animals there because we care for their well being. At least pretend like you give a crap about their welfare instead of making me feel like you want to push me out the door and take my money.

I continue to use Dr. Louviere as my vet of choice even after moving to Metairie over 12 years ago and have known him since he opened his clinic probably 18 years ago. He is very honest and frank with his patients. His care is top notch. I would trust him to care for any of my pets.
I board my animals there every time I go out of town and have left them for 2 weeks plus and they are well cared for each time. The ladies in the front have been there for years and are all very competent in thier care and concern.
Dr. Louviere is one of the best vets I have ever known and know that he will do his best to care for the pets in his care.
to whom it may concern: expressway animal hospital doctors and staff are always looking to protect the best interest of your pet. they will offer all options and let you decide what is financially feasable. sometimes that is a trip to the specialist, other times it is in-house supportive care. they' re not open on the weekend since Katrina, but the answering line leaves detailed instructions on what to do in case of an emergency after hours. they do not mislead you in thinking they are there 24 hours and offer a referral to a 24hr emergency care facility if you so choose. i disagree with the previous post...listen to the message before you hang up and keep dialing back for no answer! as to "misdiagnosed," there's only so much you can do with a limited budget!

I brought my pet in on a Friday and over the weekend took a turn for the worse. I called the ""animal hospital"" over the weekend and left a message. I wasn't called back until Monday morning. Are you an animal hospital or a vet with 'animal hospital' in your name? Maybe a 24 hour animal hospital costs more but I'd pay anything for my pet to be well and a return call on Monday morning next time may be too late.
And if your pet is bleeding, maybe that pet should be sent to the front of the line instead of having to wait after any other pet that is there just for their annual checkup...
Like I said before and many would agree, I'd pay anything to ensure my pet's good health but ignorance is why I'll never go back here. On top of all that, my pet was NOT properly diagnosed...
Thanks for the inexpensive pet care. Inexpensive or not, it was a waste of money and time and grief.

The best vet ever! I can tell you that I have had my share of being mis led and over charged by other vets. He has treated all 7 of my pets. He is very honest and he tells you exactly what is wrong and what options you have. He will tell you exactly what the cost will be and you will be pleased! No surprises!

I no longer go to this vet. the young girls that work there are rude and mean. You no longer go into the back with your pet. They bring them into the back and they do or don't do whatever they're supposed to do for your pet. They no longer let you come into the rooms with you anymore. My cat had to get an operation and stayed there for 10 days and I don't think they took great enough care of him. After I got him home, he puked up what looked like a maggot. My close friend brought two of her puppies there to have their tails docked and explained the situation that was having with the liter. They took them in back and CLAIMED they was fine. They said they looked them over and they was ok. A few days later, the puppies she brought into the vet, had died as well. Don't bring ANY of your pets to this vet. It's not like it used to be. The last time i was there NO VET spoke to me. The young girl came out and talked to me and was quite rude to me.
