I called yesterday to see if they serviced my ATV. Someone in the service department advised me they can and come in so they can check it out. I drove 40 minutes with my family later that day to find out they did not service that model. I didn't see anywhere on the website that stated they did not service my ATV nor did the person on the phone say anything.
I could tell that the service member that had to deliver the news felt bad for the inconvenience. He went to speak with the manager who sent him back out to tell me they were not going to look at it. I asked to speak with the manager at this point because I would expect a manager to come out and talk to me if their employee just told them a member on their team made an error like this one. I was suprised when the service member came back out to tell me the bad news again, poor guy. I spoke with the manager to express my frustration of going all this way for no reason and he just pointed blame the fact they were new.
1) Don't point blame a mistake like this on the "new" people. I blame management if their team doesn't know what ATVs they work on, they are in the service department. First sentence in training, "Remember, we don't work on X, Y, and Z"...
2) I expressed that this was my first experience with Iron Pony and didn't think I would ever come back (obviously I wouldn't for my ATV but I would have liked to have walked through the store - not now). Is it too much to provide a little incentive due to the error your team made? Just do a service check and have me sign a waiver that states they won't work on it again? A $25 gift card to the store? Something?
I am disappointed, but I mostly want them to see this message to sit and think about how they treat their people and their customers. Don't blame the people you are responsible for, take some ownership and actually care.
Never seen a store with a such a huge selection under one roof! Unbelievable! Seems like they almost always have what I need and every time I visit they have even more new stuff to choose from. Bikers paradise! The staff takes the time to be sure what you purchase matches your specific needs. I love browsing around a couple hours each time I visit.
This place is awesome!! Everyone is extremely knowledgeable about their departments, and the amount of stock here just cannot be beat! The service department is amazing, and they take amazing care of my bike! I wouldn't dream of taking my bike anywhere else! This is a great one-stop shop for all of your riding needs!
Three strikes on one day in the bad-service department. All I wanted was new tires installed (off bike) : Strike 1- Waited almost 10 minutes before I was even acknowledged by the staff. ( 3 customers - 5 staff ) I should have left then: Strike 2 - Angie told me the wait would be about an hour and she would call me when ready.2 hrs. later and no phone call I arrive to see me tires against the wall: Strike 3 - They installed the wrong tire on the rear wheel. The tread patterns where completely different. WTF To make maters worse, they offered no apology for my incoviniance. I recommend the service department receive training on CUSTOMER service. I will never use Iron Pony for any service again!
Today our basketball team had a car wash as a fundraiser for our team. A representative from Iron Pony was being a complete 100% unfiltered a$$ hole. He took our signs down on Westerville Rd stating that this was his property. We were actually in the Auto Zone parking lot. Also he called Auto Zone and asked that our children not to come and buy snacks from Iron Pony. Im proud to say we had a successful fundraiser despite the treatment we received.

The worst experience of my life.. My bike came back to me with a missing chrome bolt and knob. So dirty,, even after I had paid for a wash and waxing. A seal around my speedometer that was the only thing wrong and had been paid for was not even replaced. Still had the old one there.. MY SADDLE BAGS WERE PUT BACK ON BACKWARDS!!! And the general manager was so rude, he told me I was not welcome there anymore because I was trying to take advantage of them. He said that my bike had come in with the bags on backwards, even after I sent him pictures of before it went there. It was unbelievable and unacceptable to be treated that way.. I spent $1100.00 there and was told I was trying to take advantage of them. I did not want something for nothing. I only wanted what I PAID for and my bike to come back looking nice,,,,,, Not Worse!!!! Terrible Service!!!!!!!

The Iron Pony is THE destination store for bikers - cruisers, sport bikes, trikes, quads, dirt, dual-sport, they serve them all, and sell them as well. Think Cabelas if Cabelas did power-sports.
I've been riding for 2 years (17,000 miles), and this is _THE_ place to get darn near everything you need as a rider. If they don't have it, you probably don't need it. Thousands of leather jackets, thousands of helmets, probably 2000 boots, and all manner of accessories for not just motorcycling, but the biker lifestyle as well (ok, they don't actually DO tattoos). While they can't keep every part for every bike in stock, their parts department is really good about working with you, researching, and providing good advice along with the quality service.
The staff is first-rate, friendly, and almost all of them are serious riders - many with 20-30 years experience across many types of riding. Iron Pony staff take the time to talk through your riding style, needs and provide great opinions. They'll take saddlebags and light bars out to your bike to check fitment, and make sure you're aware of installation issues to look out for. Working with their sales staff is like having a buddy as a trusted advisor on ""the inside"". I've had Iron Pony staff actually talk me out of a sale, telling me I wouldn't be happy with the results of what I'd planned, and send me down the street to AutoZone to get a part that is more commonly found in auto parts stores (like generic wiring harnesses and switches).
Not only is their inventory vast, but their deals are great... sure, you _MIGHT_ save 1-3% buying from Dennis Kirk online, but won't have the opportunity to fit it to your motorcycle in advance, and get all the advice. The level of expertise and customer service are like you experience at that 50-year old neighborhood hardware store where you get not just the left-handed nut bracket, but installation advice as well... worth a few extra pennies over big-box hardware store when you want really good quality and a good experience. This is like that and more.
I won't take my bike anywhere else but Iron Pony for service, they're top-rate, great guys, and at a price the dealers can't touch. They call me by name when they see me, and ask questions about my bike, trips I took, and how different accessories are working out. It's really phenomenal how much they care about their customers.
Regretfully, I live only a mile from Iron Pony, so the siren's song of their incredible store is powerful indeed! Iron Pony just freakin' rocks. I just wish I would have invested in it 15 years ago!!
