YP - The Real Yellow PagesSM - helps you find the right local businesses to meet your specific needs. Search results are sorted by a combination of factors to give you a set of choices in response to your search criteria. These factors are similar to those you might use to determine which business to select from a local Yellow Pages directory, including proximity to where you are searching, expertise in the specific services or products you need, and comprehensive business information to help evaluate a business's suitability for you. “Preferred” listings, or those with featured website buttons, indicate YP advertisers who directly provide information about their businesses to help consumers make more informed buying decisions. YP advertisers receive higher placement in the default ordering of search results and may appear in sponsored listings on the top, side, or bottom of the search results page.

I'm sure that this organization does some good work. Recently I was made aware of a donation based horses rescue shooting 56 healthy horses this year to avoid feeding them. This is a clear violation of the California cruelty law which makes it a crime to kill a healthy animal and if the crime was committed using a gun the crime becomes a felony. I contacted the rescue and told them they were breaking the law. The reply I got was disturbing to say the least. The CEO of HiCaliber Horses Rescue not only stated that it was legal to shoot the 56 horses but they could kill 5600 horses a year (and dogs) and it would still be legal. I contacted County of San Diego Dept Animal Services and filed a cruelty complaint. The next thing I get a threatening letter from HiCaliber Horses Rescue telling me that they have friends at County of San Diego Dept Animal Services and because of their friends there was nothing they could do or we could say that would make the County of San Diego Dept Animal Services take action against them. It seems that my confidential complaint was shared by the County of San Diego Dept Animal Services with the very people I was complaining about. All I can say is be careful dealing with this organization. What a joke. Promote no-kill nature of their shelter but support the worst horse killing rescue in America. Disgusting!
