Alrighty I had originally posted a terrible review about cell planet and the experience that my husband had when he took our galaxy in for a LCD replacement. They said something else was wrong and tried to get us to pay even more, and when my husband said to just put the LCD in it and don't worry about the board connector, they refused and said they can't hand us back a broken phone, so we either pay the 228 for both or they'll put the phone back the way it was and charge us 45 bucks for nothing. Well we finally paid it all just to get our phone back, well the next day the LCD was cutting out and acting funny so i called, i was hung up on 5 times in a row just asking her about my phone but once i mentioned my husband being there she hung up over and over, so needless to say i decided it was time i go down there and unleash the wrath of hell. I went prepared, when i got there i started filming with my phone, i was gonna upload how they treat people to youtube, yahoo, everywhere lol. However one of the owners was there.....and i was met with nothing but kindness from him, he told me he would look at the phone, and he even crossed out the 45 dollars on the paper you have to sign and looked at the phone for us. He said he couldn't fix it after a while, but he at least was very nice. And everybody i saw come in he tried to help. If he could get this place fixed up a little bit i bet it would be a great place to go. It's ran by a bunch of teenagers it seems and they are rude and horrible to you, they just need some fixing up and changing around and hopefully he will get things working better than ever there. Don't get me wrong I still won't go back to this place, because the owner isn't there all the time, but after i came there ready to start a war with them over my phone, he turned out to be very helpful and gave me at least a helpful experience that restored a bit of my faith in the place.
My family has been using them for like over 15 years and will not go anywhere else. Always a pleasure to have great knowledgable people working on my phone that can communicate with me by speaking English lol.....

I am assuming this is the store in the galleria. Anyways, the products that Apple makes are top quality and well worth the money. I have bought computers, ipods, touches, iphones, ipads, from them and they are all great products to own! But a few days ago, i went into the apple store with an appt. and had to wait close to 20 minutes for them finally to take me for my appt. that had been scheduled for a long time. I was going in to talk about syncing to itunes. So I go and she tells me that I have to log into itunes (Duh). And then I have to authorize my computer, and transfer this and that. And when she is done "turning everything on" it doesn't work. she gets tired of us being there and cancels everything and tells us to leave and try it at home. So I get home and can't get it to work. I then called a tech guy I knew and he had me download iRip which is an amazing program that you should go to first before the store. It is free to try and there are registration codes online if you are so inclined to purchase it. I got all of my songs downloaded (Around 300) in less than 5 minutes, where at the apple store, she couldn't even get one to download in the over an hour of time we were there.. I love their products, just not the service I was provided with
Excellent Service. I came in a couple days ago for a iPhone 5c and iPad 4th generation repair. Being that I was bringing two devices they offered me a "wholesale" like discount which was appreciated. I had cracked screens on both devices. i ended up paying about $70 each for the repairs which was far less than what everybody else was charging. the best price i got for my 5c was $110 and the ipad 4th gen for $99 so pretty big and impressive savings there. when i got there i spoke to Eric and Evelyn. I believe Eric may have been the manager and he was very informative of exactly what the repair process was, how long it would take and what for me to expect. when it was all said and done both devices came out looking great and i really couldnt be any more satisfied. on a side not the food next door was pretty good too, a little something to do to kill time. Everybody there was pretty helpful but Eric took care of me so when you go make sure to ask for him.
I was a victim of a break in of a motor vehicle and of cousre the Thug got my iphone. I have made a lot of purchases at this Best Buy since 2005, so I called the manager Stu for his help. Att wanted to charge me $399.00 for an early upgrade. Since was such a good customer to my surprise Stu was able to help defer the cost of replacing my phone by getting a $200.00 gift card for me. Miguel set up my new phone and was very helpful. I will also be purchasing a new digital camera that was stolen from my purse as well. People don't believe me that I had this experience from one of the big chains...guess it pay to be a loyal customer!!! Thanks Best Buy see ya for my Christmas purchases.
Well my wife wanted some new CD's and wanted to go to Best Buy to search for them. I was reluctant to go to this Best Buy because of the poor customer service I had received in the past and the difficulty of getting in and out of this location. Well I was pleasantly surprises at the helfulness of the employees. Wow want a turn around. I was asked serveral times did I need assistance or did I find what I was looking for. Not only did we find the musice but we ended up purchasing some early christmas gifts. If this location could add a traffic cop to assist with getting in and out of this location, it would make the shopping experiece a whole lot better.
This is my second time dealing with Texas Home Electronics. The first time was several years ago. Then, they were courteous and very helpful in giving me information I needed for my home alarm system in our new Pioneer Home. Now I need a replacement part that is not locally available nor easy to find, They are willing to sell it to me directly AND I can install it myself. Again, "service with a smile" and a job well done. -------Update on review posted earlier (above) Texas Home Electronics gave me a tested replacement for the item I needed without any charge or obligation. Thank you Mark, for your help.
I took my Samsung Mega for a front screen repair to Cell Planet last night and the did a wonderful job. Everybody else was asking $300-$350 for the repair, i guess seeing how is a newer phone and such a large screen. I was told that I had to repair the LCD and digitizer even though my LCD was working perfectly. I came into Cell planet and they were able to remove the glass and digitizer and save the LCD so in turn that saved me $200 on the repair. The cost was $99+ tax to be exact. My phone looks great, works perfectly and i have zero complaints.
Maybe the best experience I ever had purchasing something. I know they are known for repairs but getting my phone fixed was just beyond economical repair and they were very honest with me about that too. They had a used iPhone 5s for sale and were asking only $400 for it! I quickly grabbed it up. Im sure alot of people may have tried to pressure me into the repair but they really tried their best to take care of me and even gave me a free screen protector and case to go with it. very nice people.
I took my iPhone 5c and my apple iPad Air into Cell Planet both for screen repairs. I found them to be very professional and polite. the 5c cost me $70 after a $20 coupon and the iPad Air cost me $90 after the same coupon I found on here. Pretty fair prices I thought considering the parts on the Air are still a little pricey. Maybe couldve saved a few bucks if I kept looking but the service definitely made up for any loss dollars. If i were you, i would take the drive and give these guys a call.
These guys really know what they are doing. I had Daniel taking care of me and he was outstanding. Gave us a great deal on our screen repair and hooked us up with some screen protectors just for coming by. thats what service is to me and I will be sure to use them any time I need anything. thinking about coming back to buy that iPhone 5s too so they will be getting more of my business for sure.
