Went to Costco, shopped, and going through the checkout with my groceries. I was using my moms costco card, so the cashier looked at the face on the card and then up at me and said 'where is she?!?' So I replied that i was using my moms card, and she immediately started putting my groceries back in the cart and flagged security down to escort me out. I asked if I could still purchase the items and she replied that I was not allowed here. So I asked if I could get my mom on the phone to approve me using the card, and she said no. They began to escort me out, and I asked if I could have the card back to give to my mom, and they explained that they would not because it needed to be confiscated. I have never in my life been treated the way that I was by a cashier, until now at this West Valley Costco. They treated me as if I was a thief that has committed a crime. I cannot believe how extremely rude they were to my husband and I. I was forced to leave after wasting 1.5 hours shopping for no reason. I can now say that I will never again shop at Costco, and my mom will now cancel her executive membership. That is no way to treat a customer, or person for that matter. I understand that rules are rules, but to take away my moms card and immediately call security and be very blunt, short, and rude with me was not the correct way to handle any situation. Maybe I caught this cashier having a bad day, but I did not treat her back with disrespect even though I was treated that way. No customer should feel embarrassed and shoved down in the mud for not knowing a rule of the store. I do not recommend this store.
