Excellent service at very reasonable prices. The owner, Rocio, is Peruvian. She and all the stylists are bilingual. Don't be intimidated if, like me, you are anglo. Everyone is welcome and made to feel comfortable. Rocio is my favorite stylist. Though appointments are not necessary, I recommend making one because at peak hours the salon is packed.
Worst experience ever! I got my nails done here and they were bumpy and definitely not what i wanted. When i expressed the fact that i wasn't happy the owner got really mad and started yelling at me when i told him to lower his voice he kicked me out. Extremely rude. Went to another place to get my nails fixed would definitely not recommend i would do 0 stars if possible. TAKE YOUR MONEY SOMEWHERE ELSE
I happened to go with my husband when he got his haircut. Turned out the best of all the cuts he has had since we have been together past 1 year and 1/2. He usually tries to go to cheaper places and they do something weird and mess up his hair. Luckily it grows fast. Almas is reasonably priced. Ivan is awesome! He did my husband's hair before our wedding. Definitely recommend. My husband has thick hair that can be tricky and Ivan did a really good job cutting it and knows how to do a proper fade.
Don't go to this place. I called in advance to see if they could accommodate a color and cut. I've been doing highlights for years and wanted to go back to my natural light brown color. She said she was doing highlights on someone and would be done in thirty minutes and to come then. I showed up and she was still putting highlights in the lady's hair.. I waited 30 min before she put the lady under the heater and came to help me pick out a color. She helped me pick out a color to match my natural color. We discussed how if I wanted the color to match we should go a little darker than my natural color as it would fade and match after it faded. She also explained that because of my highlights the color would be multiple shades and look like lowlights. She seemed very knowledgeable and I agreed with what she said and told her I just didn't want it to come out red as my fiance's ex wife's hair is red and he's always asked me to never die my hair red. She got the color in my hair and told me it would take 25-30 min to process. I went and sat down and she went to work on the lady with the highlights. She waited 1 hour and 25 min to rinse my hair out. I asked her twice if we should rinse it out. She replied with "In a minute" both times. When she was done with the other lady she walked me to the sink and told me she wouldn't have time for a cut or to blow dry my hair. There was no one waiting behind me. She actually turned two lady's away while I waited saying she was busy and to come back tomorrow. I asked if she could just trim it straight and give me a discount and she said she'd trim it but refused to give me a discount. She rinsed my hair and I sat down and lo and behold my hair is bright red! I asked if she could fix it and she said yeah but shes booked for the next week. Then she charged me $75!
They take there sweet time and they are not friendly

I just moved to the west valley area so I picked this salon because it was close and they could get me in soon. Unfortunately, those are the only nice things I can say about this place. Maybe it's because I was the only white person in there out of at least 20 people, but I didn't have a pleasant experience to say the least. The older woman that cut my hair was nice enough but didn't speak any English. She colored my hair from brunette to blonde and it turned orange! She processed it 3 times in 2 hrs. She left me sitting under the dryer over my processing time as i watched her meticulously cut a little boys hair. I never did even seen my hair color till I sat in the chair to get my cut and saw the orange. Needless to say I wasn't happy. Next thing I know, she's trimming my hair. It was sloppily and hastily done. I could see pieces that weren't even being cut. She never checked to see if it was even. At the end of it all, they said to come back in a week to get it colored again and charged me 120 dollars! I will NEVER go there again. Worse hair salon experience of my life.
Chan Nan provides such great service, and treats you as you should be: a valued client. The massage chairs are very comfortable, and Chan Nan gives much needed (for me anyway) leg and foot massages for the pedicure. My toenails look so nice and she paints the flowers with such precision. It's nice to have snacks and drinks available for such low prices there, too.
