This is by far my favorite place in New Orleans for manicures, pedicures, waxing, facials and massage. I am always bringing family and friends in with me - I can't reccomend it highly enough. The staff is all so friendly and great. Both Reyna and Jennifer are excellent with manicures and pedicures. I have done gel manicures there that have lasted a full month - I only took the polish off because my nails grew out too much! Ever since I have been going to Reyna my nails are in better shape. Tracy does the waxing and she is fantastic. A friend of mine who had been getting eyebrows waxed somewhere else for a long time went to Tracy and told me that it hurt a lot less with her. And Chris' massages cannot be beat. I always feel like my muscles have been thoroughly worked over after a massage with her. She is very receptive to her clients and knows the right amount of pressure to use and the places that really need to be worked. I have always loved going to a spa to be pampered, but somehow I would always end up just feeling like a nameless "client" getting hustled from place to place in the name of "pampering". But at Reyna everyone is so warm and friendly you really feel welcome and I always feel like it was worth the visit.
Spa Reyna is nestled on Magazine street, in a old uptown house, with high ceiling and floor-to-ceiling windows; the perfect boutique-like setting. The space has a very charming, New Orleans feel to it! Reyna's pedicures are an absolutely dream. This isn't just a dash and go, you practically get a deep leg/foot massage, along with close care and attention to making your feet feel soft and refreshed!! I recently tried the Shellac manicure, which is new to the industry, and Reyna does it perfectly. The nail color does not chip, dries in seconds and had the perfect shiny finish. It can last up to 2 weeks! maybe longer. I am hooked!! I've also had other services: a massage with Chris, and she went above and beyond to make the most of the hour full body massage, I even added aromatherapy, which really added to the experience. I even tried (for the first time) a bikini wax with Tracy, and while I was nervous, Tracy eased my nerves and before I knew it was over and surprisingly, relatively painless. Tracy knows what she is doing!! Spa Reyna is the BEST!
If you get a chance, go to this fabulous salon! The ladies there (Tina, Haze and Amy) are all wonderful, caring women! They pamper you beyond your wildest dreams! From the first phone call to walking in I was treated like a Princess! They are friendly, professional and do an outstanding job! May I suggest the Ultimate manicure and pedicure. They use paraffin wax on your hands and feet after being massaged with hot stones that release all of the toxins in your legs. What a refreshing feeling to also have the mask put on with hot towels!!- do both your hands AND feet! I can't say enough wonderful tings about this place so give them a try! The best time to go would be after lunch, around 2pm, so you get a full treatment without begin rushed. Thank you again ladies! I will be sure to come in and bring my friends next time!!! Amy Starr
I adore Spa Reyna! I have definitely found my new place for Brazilian. They give you the option between hard and soft wax and the esthitician makes everything as easy and painless as possible. They take such good care of you here as well, I've been to a few esthiticians in the city and I've always had problems but not here. The staff is so friendly and helpful in every way possible. When I go into a Spa or Salon I expect to feel like its about me, I want them to be talking to me and making me feel important, I don't want to sit and get my nails done while the techs are talking to there friends. Spa Reyna definitely makes the customer feel important, and valued. I've been telling all of my friends about this place and I even have regular appoinments scheduled. One of the best Spa's in the city!
The reviews on this site are exaggerated. The Spa is nice but not perfect. The lights are too bright, no Spa music to welcome you. Many times the staff speaks too loud and you can hear them during your service EVEN WITH THE DOOR CLOSED!!! The owner especially speaks too loud and without regard. It is by far not a relaxing spa. The facial room is too hot...no a/c in there it seems; a fan on the floor is unexceptable for the price you pay. Massages are touch and go...been several times with same massage person and each time it has been different which is dissapointing. They need to visit some real Spas (like in Arizona) and get some ideas for improvement especially for ambiance and relaxation. Much room for growth.
I just spent the most spectacular day at Spa Reyna, a delightful new day spa in Uptown New Orleans. Not only were the rates for their services very affordable, the services themselves were awesome. I had a 2 hour deep tissue massage with Chris that left me feeling pain free and very relaxed. Next I had a facial with Tracy and she was so knowledgable about my skin! I walked away looking absolutely beautiful. Then, I had manicure and pedicure with Reyna herself, and it was truly stellar; my nails look perfect. I am a resident of the city of New Orleans, and I been to MORE than my fair share of spas! : ) This one leaves them all behind. I would recommend visiting here to ANYONE who asked.
Sure, you can go to Arizona and spend thousands on facials and massages at pricey spas but while waiting for those once in a lifetime trips, try out Spa Reyna. While Arizona and California boast some of the most prestigious spas in the country, what is most important when you are seeking a spa service in your neighborhood is the experience of the service provider, the quality of product used and ambiance. Spa Reyna provides the highest level of professionalism, service treatments with some of the top name retail lines on the market-- all in relaxing environment in which you can let loose, have a laugh and enjoy the friendly staff's warm welcome.

I recently visited Spa Reyna for a massage and was extremely pleased with my experience. The massage with Chris was excellent! She really worked the kinks out of my back but made the whole experience super relaxing. I've also visited Tracy for a facial and waxings... she is simply the best. Hands down. Extremely knowledgeable, gives amazing facials and a delight. This really was the best spa experience I've had in New Orleans. I love the small space. I never felt rushed or shuffled around. The entire space feels organic and homey... not like a big box spa. I will definitely return and encourage everyone to visit.
I have always booked appointments with Reyna during my trips to New Orleans. She is my favorite person in the country for manicures and pedicures. She honors the fact that I have sensitive feet, and I find that her manicures last longer than any others I've had. On this trip I also booked a glycolic facial with Tracy which was wonderful. I love the new space. It is welcoming, private, and full of natural light - so much more pleasant than being in a bustling factory-like setting. And Danielle is a gem - friendly, welcoming, professional and beautiful inside and out. An A plus on all counts.
