Pawnshops: 10 Things to Know »
Most people think of pawn stores as a way to make cash quickly or a place to buy an inexpensive ring. In reality, they're a lot more complex than simple buy-and-sell transactions…
I visited Jacob Kodner, of Provident Jewelry. I purchased a $4900 Wedding band set. A few weeks later, I noticed my finger turning green. My husband then had it appraised and found out it was worthless. We went back to him and totally denied the claim. Says we are faking and switched it. ( my race is black) BUYER BEWARE!!!!
I took my vintage 18K gold watch for an estimate and to know the weight. The woman immediately told me: I DO NOT GIVE explanations to anyone, she offered me $25.00 and of course I said NO... She was so RUDE and (I believe her husband ) was there and did not say a word. She threw me out of the store and warned me NOT to make any comment. But I did... I told them both: YOU ARE DISGUSTING and I will tell everybody I know, especially in Golden Lake Village to NEVER make the huge mistake of getting into this place. The are THIEVES and with NO CLASS at all. To everyone I say: BEWARE OF THERE PEOPLE. They are THE WORSE.
I had a horrible experience with Tony and the whole complicit team at Shamrock. My father-in-law left a very expensive, 70 year old Remington bronze statue there because Tony assured him that he could sell it for him through his vast network. When my father-in-law passed away a year later, his family tried to retrieve the statue and after more than a month of dodging and lying (it's in transit. it's in the back room. it's being cleaned..), Tony eventually produced a worthless replica. When we challenged him with our findings, he claimed ignorance stating he had no idea where the fake came from. STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS! He is a liar and a cheat.
I've been knowing this family business since it began. They have some of the most high end diamond jewelry in the area. Mr. Jones runs this business with dignity and in trustworthy.
I made a purchase online with this store back in August of 2014. I knew it would take a little while because my purchase had to be personalized. But a few weeks went by, then a few months, I hadn't received an e-mail or a notification that my order was on its way, let alone existed. So I decided to contact the store. No answer. I e-mailed again only to get a response telling me they'd figure out what was wrong with my order. Few more weeks had passed and still nothing. I kept e-mailing but I'd never get a response. Frustrated and desperate I decided to go through the store's sister website, I Love Jewelry. At least I got a response there. They told me the owner would ship my purchase out the next day. That happened twice. It's December 2014 and I still do not have my almost $200 purchase. I figure I'll never see it. I encourage anyone and everywhere to take their business elsewhere than here. Thanks Jordann.... not.
Lovely people own and operate this jewelry store. You can't help but to go back to them continuously. Kind and courteous. Lovely jewelry . Nice prices. And they do awesome repairs!
It was a pleasure doing business with West Palm Coin and Jewelry. They were extremely helpful, and they paid me almost twice as much as one of its competitors.
They made us a perfect custom piece for thousands less than what we would have paid in the mall. Thanks again!
