Expressed interest in adopting a dog we found on Petfinder. Found the rescue owner extremely difficult to deal with. She wouldn't answer questions and seemed to resent that I even had questions. I let her know at every part of the process that we were perfectly willing to follow her process and do things her way, but nothing seemed to please her. A big red flag for me was that she was filled with Drama about things going wrong in her daily life and got angry at me for trying to reach her at inconvenient times, such as when she was having car trouble, or her phone wasn't charged, and she'd blame me for calling her at the wrong times. Hey, lady, news flash: if someone is calling you at an inconvenient time, then DON'T PICK UP THE PHONE!!! All her Drama was TMI, though I didn't tell her this as I wanted to get through her issues so I could adopt the dog. When she told me she'd have questions for me, and I responded by saying that was fine and I had some questions for her as well, she completely lost it and told me she would never, ever adopt a dog to me and called me a "spoiled brat." Dealing with Sandra was an absolutely horrendous experience. I have no idea why she went off the rails the way she did. I never even asked her for anything, I simply agreed to everything she asked, and I have the transcript of our texts to prove it. My impression is that she is a control freak who gets off on having emotional power over people. Just an awful experience.
