Tess Jacob, MD, ECNU is a member of Summit Healths Endocrinology team. Dr. Jacob treats patients with endocrine disorders and has particular interest in thyroid, pituitary, diabetes and polycystic ovarian syndrome. She is specially trained to perform in-office, and fine needle aspiration biopsies of thyroid nodules.Dr. Jacob is a strong proponent of patient centered care and is committed to helping her patients achieve their health goals. She has a thorough understanding that medical care is individualized and takes time to pay attention to a patients background and culture, as they relate to their health.Dr. Jacob is a member of the Endocrine Society and the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists and international society of clinical densitometry. One of her many accomplishments includes winning the Peter Bartonelli award for dedication and compassion to patients in primary care with overall excellence in Ambulatory Medicine, which she received during her residency training. She is also the proud winner of the Lilly Clinical Fellows Abstract Travel Award in Diabetes.When not working with patients, Dr. Jacob enjoys eating good food, traveling, photography, and spending quality time with family and friends.
