Don't call them. I have lived in my home since 1987. This is the first year I used this gardening service. I now have the same weeds as my neighbors across the street, where they also work. I have never had these weeds before. They must have carried the seeds on their workshoes, as all the other lawns on the block do not have these weeds. I also have a significant number of dandelions and other weeds--which have never been a problem befoel In the original contract, I had previously had them add topsoil and reseeding, I had assumed with grass seed. Clover, and dandelions came up all over my lawn, and no grass where they had seeded. I am going to have to pay dearly to correct this. They were also supposed to trim my shrubbery once a month. This was never done, and I have no access to my deck. When asked, one of them responded, "It's not time to do that yet." I had four appointments with them so that I could show them what was wrong. They never showed. The shrubbery included a large bush on the side of my house that was supposed to be cut back, and was already paid for in my initial contract with them to bring my house back to par. The bush is now leaning so far into my neightbor's yard that I cannot even walk into my own back yard from that side of the house. The last time I spoke with the owner, he claimed he was there, and I was not. Over and over, like a broken record. I was waiting downstairs at the time of appointment, and for 90 minutes after, with the phone in my hand. He said my phone was busy. It was not. He said he asked my neighbors where I was. I checked with my neighbors, He did not--they were not even home. A professional would have spoken more respectfully, and if what he had said were true, he would have walked around the property himself and called later, to discuss what he saw. He did not do that. He did not even call. I called to say he was fired, That's when he called back, saying his mother said I called, and he did not listen to the message. He pulled the same thing again early next morning, before business hours. Absolutely clueless and irresponsible. By the way, even before the missed Thursday night appointment to try to resolve the difficulites, these guys did not even show up to mow this week. The quality of mowing--I have a lawn with designs all over it--highs and lows, which are defined by the lines left by the mowers.
