I am from out of state and just purchased a Mercedes, basically sight unseen, from Rockland Motors. This has to be the ultimate litmus test for rating a car dealership. I committed to purchase the car, by my own request, before arriving so I would not lose it. Rockland Motors not only met but exceeded every single expectation. The car BLEW AWAY the description that was online. I would have been fine and frankly surprised if they met the description online, but the car was BETTER than all that inside and out. Excellent body and paint; nice tires with lots of tread, and immaculate under the hood with no issues. I was told this car is "all there, and nothing is needed" and this is exactly the case. Nothing swept under the carpet. I drove this a smooth 175 miles home, and had it checked out by a 30 year Mercedes Benz A tech with a fine tooth comb. It passed with flying colors. It needs nothing; the scan shows services up to date. He told me I found a one in a million car. No downside, nothing hidden to worry about.
As far as the sales rep, Frank was spot on friendly, efficient and honest. He did not pressure, nor ignore. We processed everything within an hour. He even gave me a ride back from returning my rental car. Mind you this was a busy Thursday rush hour.
Dealerships often get a bad rap, and I bet you would have thought they could take advantage of me since I am from out of state, and would not come back beating their door down.
So go figure, you can drive 175 miles to Rockland Motors as a total stranger, from another state, and they have exactly the product they advertised, are honest, and deliver within the same day. How can it possibly get any better?

I purchased a 2012 Mini Cooper Hardtop Base from Rockland Motors. Everyone was more than helpful in securing my purchase. Not only did I get a great deal on a barely broken in car they also hooked me up with 4 new run flat tires, alignment, filters etc. Great buy.

Just purchased and brought home a used car from Rockland Motors and I am happy to provide a recommendation on their behalf for anyone in the market for a used car. First, having done my homework, I believe the car was fairly priced. We took the car for a test drive and even returned a few hours later for my teenage son to test drive it for whom the car was for. All the while and in-between, no pressure or pushing for a deposit until we actually committed to the purchase. I respected that. I am not a mechanic by any means but been around cars all my life (including the old days when I could actually tune up my own car), so I "kicked the tires" and found the car to be in good shape. No obvious problems with the brakes and the tires I thought were passable but figured we will see how they look by winter. Fair enough. In addition to a new battery which we agreed to up front, when we picked up the car, Frank put four brand new tires on the car and new rotors that were shining behind the rim. He said he knew the car was for my son and wanted to assure us the car was safe, though I think that's the way he treats his customers anyway.

I needed a car in a big hurry because my one vehicle was down for repairs indefinitely. I arrived to Rockland Motors on a Saturday afternoon at around 3:00pm. I was given an extensive tour of all the inventory that was of interest to me by the owner himself. He was very caring at a time when my husband and I were urgently in need of a car. We bought a 2010 Toyota Sienna. It was in beautiful shape to begin with, but they took the time to put the finishing touches on it, change the oil, get an inspection sticker on it, and take care of all the DMV stuff in order to make sure we could drive it off the lot the same day. The finance manager, Diane, stayed until almost 6:00pm, making several phone calls to different financial institutions in an effort to get us into that van the same day. The entire staff went above and beyond, not the least of which was giving us an amazingly low price on the van because of our situation. We will be looking for another vehicle in the Spring and I am not considering going anywhere else. They made me feel like family. I highly recommend this dealership.

I first done business with Rockland Motors about 8 years ago (2007 Escalade 12000 miles). Since then, I have purchased over 10 cars from them... Mostly Audis and Mercedes. I can tell you from My experience, there is no Dealership that treats the customers like Steve and Frank. They ALWAYS go above and beyond for me and my wife when we go there.... ALWAYS!!! I highly recommend this business and have great respect for all of the staff that work there. I know for sure that I will continue to go there for many years to come.

I was looking for a used SUV that could handle my growing family and found a great one at Rockland motors with very low millage and great color. I stopped by and spoke with Joe and he knew exactly what I needed for my family. When it came to start the finance details Diana knew exactly what I was looking for and when I called back to tell her what I was looking for, she already had the paperwork done with the payments I was looking for. I Bought a car for almost $20,000 and I paid it in full amount without negotiating, trusting the seller who told me “you’ll receive the car checked all around and with no problems at all.” We had an agreement that if anything in the car needs to be replaced, it will be done by him before I came to pick up the car. I paid a deposit and left. A week and a half later I came to pick up the car, paid the rest of the money, and on the way back home I noticed that there was something wrong with the brakes and the shocks. Later I found out that the Bluetooth and heated seats were not working as well. I took the car to my own mechanic and found out that the rotors and brakes were completely out and that the serpentine belt is bad and was not replaced as promised, but instead it was just sprayed (dealer told me he will replace it because it made noises when I started the car). Also 3 days later the check engine light came on (and now I understood why when I first came to see the car the battery was unplugged). I went back to the dealer (1 hour drive, I live in queens) and he told me how embarrassed he was and that it’s not his fault. He just gave it to the mechanic and he messed it up and it is the mechanic’s fault. I believed him because I know people can make mistakes sometimes. Dealer asked me to leave the car and come back in few days (did I mention I had to take 3 hours train and bus back to queens). Two weeks later came to pick up the car and the dealer said that EVERYTHING was fixed. The brakes felt OK in the beginning but later started to squeak and make all kinds of weird noises. I took it to my mechanic again (which I had to pay for a checkup, second time.) and found out that nothing was done with the shocks, brakes and pads were cheap and did not fit the type of car I bought, heated seat on the left side still wasn’t working, and for dessert, few days later the check engine light came back on. How beautiful was that!!!!
I called again to dealer to complain but this time I wasn’t ready to go there again and lose another day of work. The dealer didn’t offer anything else besides that and here I am stuck with a car that needs $2,500 of work done to it after I paid full price for it and got a “30 day warranty” from the dealer which of course didn’t help at all. Needless to say it was hard to get them the salesman on the phone after that.
To the people out there who are thinking to buy a car from them, beware and do not make the same mistakes I did. If you do buy a car from them, don’t just believe the beautiful words they might tell you there. Bring your own mechanic with you to check the car even if it’ll cost you some money. It will save you a lot of headache and much more money later. Also, don’t pay the full amount until your mechanic checks that everything was done to the car as agreed.

Wonderful experience! Great employees and pleasant to deal with. The car was gorgeous and priced very well. Did a full service and replaced the tires and brakes and rotors prior to delivering the car.

Would recommend them to anyone who is a real shopper and knows what they want at a fair price.
