Located at the Foot of the Louisville Bridge

General Info
We have 3 full time attorneys and 7 secretaries that handle only bankruptcy law. We spare no expense in our representation. No case slips through the cracks. We never talk anyone into filing bankruptcy. We give you all of your options, and let you decide how to handle your financial future. All consultations are free, and we can work with you on attorney fees. We emphasize compassion and understanding. You are not alone. We care. We understand what you are going through, especially in these hard times, and we want to help. Is Bankruptcy for me? If you feel irresponsible, consider the alternative. It is truly irresponsible to not do anything. These problems do not go away by themselves. In fact, I can assure you that the bill collectors will not stop calling! The responsible thing to do is take some action to resolve the issue. It may not involve filing for bankruptcy. The one thing in life that we do not get more of is time. Don't spend a good deal of it mired down in a financial mess. Before filing bankruptcy, consider all of your alternatives. Add up all of your debts and take into consideration whether one or more creditors are threatening garnishments, repossessions, or a foreclosure of your home. Calculate your monthly interest payments on your bills and figure out how long it will take to pay off, and how much per month it will take to get out of debt. Take into consideration that the credit card corporations are not your next door neighbors; they are major corporations in stiff competition to extend credit to extend their profits. Have the corporations been completely honest with you? Have the interest rates, minimum payments, and late fees changed? Did they tell you about hidden fees, such as over the limit fees? Beware of credit consolidation rip-offs. It is a debt trap for the unwary. They advertise their "non- profit" status relentlessly, but they pay lavish salaries, and may steer customers to for-profit mortgage companies that are affiliated with the counseling company. Some companies charge "voluntary payment" fees, which can be steep. The Federal Trade Commission has shut down several well known debt consolidation companies and the IRS has indicated that the industry may lose its "non-profit" status. Studies show that 18-24 months after a bankruptcy, debtors can qualify for a loan on the same terms as if they hadn't filed bankruptcy. The lender is more interested in your down payment, the stability of your income, and the relationship between the loan payments and your monthly income. Bankruptcy makes the debt shown in the negative credit history unenforceable. A debt that has been discharged in bankruptcy must contain a zero balance. Objectively, you may be a far better credit risk after bankruptcy than before.
Business History
I graduated from West Monroe High School in 1981. I graduated from LSU in 1985, and obtained a law degree from LSU in 1989. Over the years, I have represented thousands of clients in the areas of domestic law, criminal defense, successions and wills, personal injury, and bankruptcy law. Now, I handle ONLY bankruptcy law cases. I understand the hardship associated with debt and how finding the best solution can be difficult. That's why I make sure to explain how the process works to each and every client and take the time to help them every step of the way.

Professionalism

I was waiting until the end of my bankruptcy to give a honest review of my experience. My experience was wonderful. Your staff was extremely professional and knowledgeable. I also loved the new look of your lobby. It was very welcoming.

I met with Sam, and he was very professional and understanding. He explained everything to me so that I understood the legality of my case. I spoke to his secretary's on several occasions and they were very helpful as well. I would recommend Sam to anyone considering filing for bankruptcy.

Never Again for anything legal

his office got the job done and thats about the best I can say for the staff here. The only person in this office that treated me with any respect was the atourney and one receptionist. Everyone else was horrible to me and everyone that I saw them dealing with. I will never forget seeing an elderly man trying to talk to an atourney and a large lady about issues and questions that he was having and he was chocking back tears from the way they were treating him. On another issue I had questions regarding my case and kept calling because the answeres that i had gotten from the office staff were not acurate. When I finally got through to one of the atourneys i was acused of harrassing his staff. **** ALL I CAN SAY IS FOR ANY LEGAL ISSUES THAT I MAY HAVE IN THE FUTURE, NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!11
