I took my phone to Joe, by recommendation of a coworker, to have the charger port replaced. It was Friday, September 11. After a long ordeal of broken "repaired by" dates it is now September 22nd. The phone came out worse than it went in. The charger port he put in originally was incorrect and blew the battery. He still tried to charge me $25 for the "service." After speaking with Joe about my displeasure at being charged at all, he did make that right by letting me walk out with no more fuss. Upon closer inspection, I found that I now had a new glass screen and there are stress creases on the LCD. My device went through hell while in his possession. I was told about the bad port and "getting a new battery because the old one didn't charge correctly." He selectively omitted that someone had smashed it during the 11 day journey. I'm quite positive that he was hoping I would not notice.
