Rude or indifferent service. Usually a long wait. Tried twice to end mail forwarding, once online and once in person, mail continues to go to wrong address. The phone number listed online has been disconnected.
The West Des Moines post office is very clearly and consistently understaffed. They have 3 teller windows, but only one has ever been staffed whenever I have gone in. Be prepared to wait in line for 10 minutes or more. Mail arrives on time to my P.O. box approximately 70% of the time. I have had several problems with them locating my priority packages and delivering them on time.
The Valley Junction business area is serviced by different carriers who, unfortunately, are not familiar with this unique small business area. Mail is delivered to incorrect businesses and they fail to check mail boxes containing out going mail or inquire if businesses have any. Consistency would be do helpful!
