This Santa Barbara hotel is listed as the top Santa Barbara beachside hotel on both Trip Advisor and Kayak, and we decided to give it a try last summer. VERY HAPPY WE DID! The room we stayed in was spacious, had a modern TV, walls are thick and noise proof -very quiet (no issues of noise at all). The hotel artwork captures the true essence of the region. LOVE THIS HOTEL! The furniture is elegant and new....do yourself a favor and take the guesswork out of your decision for a Santa Barbara B and B near the beach - the Eagle Inn gets our vote! Best place to stay in SB near the beach. The Eagle Inn is a boutique Santa Barbara hotel that offers the intimacy of a Bed & Breakfast combined with the amenities of a major hotel. Many on Trip Advisor call it the most romantic hotel in Santa Barbara. The Eagle Inn has been a luxurious boutique hotel for vacationers and business travelers for many years. The family-owned business offers the intimacy of a Bed & Breakfast combined with the amenities of a major five star hotel. This Santa Barbara Hotel is located just steps from the beach. When my friends and family come to visit, I always recommend the Eagle Inn as my favorite beachside hotel. There are many places to stay in Santa Barbara by the beach, but I am giving the Eagle Inn 5 stars because of their local ownership, attention to detail at the inn, proximity to the harbor and downtown, room cleanliness and overall friendliness of staff. -Taylor

I stayed at the Pacific Crest Santa Barbara last weekend when I came in for a friends wedding. The wedding party was staying at the Fess Parker however, they were sold out of for the weekend which prompted me to find a hotel close enough to join them. Since I would be spending most of my time at the Fess Parker I didn't read much into hotel amenities or reviews so I really didn't know what to expect. When I arrived to check in I was greeted by the owners who were very accommodative and considerate. They showed me around the property and let me pick the room I liked the most (of the available rooms). The rooms are completely remodeled and very relaxing and comfortable. You could tell they put a little extra into their recent remodel. Parking was easy which could be a problem for a few of the local hotels, location is great and the owners are amazing. I would recommend this hotel on your next trip especially if you're looking for that cute little locally owned hidden gem.
Upon check-in, the gentleman at the office was very friendly and informational. He oriented us on great places to eat and what places we can go to that are nearby. No key cards, they use old school keys. Which I thought was pretty cool.Location is perfect! You can see the ocean from the Inn. The beach is literally just down the street. It's a mile away from State St. I was a little worried about what the rooms would look like judging from the outside of the Inn, but the room was simple and surprisingly very clean. Room comes with mini fridge, coffee maker (a little dirty), portable air-conditioner, cable with HBO, and wifi. Bathroom and shower were clean and came with mini shampoo and soap. Was not expecting cleaning service but it was a nice little surprise going back to the room with the bed made and fresh new towels. Pretty roomy for a queen sized bed room.
Me and a friend met up here for the weekend to run a 5 k and hangout in SB. The place was exactly what I wanted. It was closed to the beach, maybe a two minute walk. Although your behind another hotel so it's hard to see the beach from the room. It was small and old but clean. We had room 104. Wood floors, free wi-fi, refrigerator and microwave. Coffee maker and blow dryer. The pool was clean and warm. I wish I would have brought my bathing suit. I would definitely stay here a again. The price and location are unbeatable.
Stayed here one night, two queen bed room upstairs. The clerk at front desk was very nice and helpful, my 12year old son thOught he was very polite. Room was clean and comfortable, great location, very close to beach, pIer, easy drive to down town from here. Pool was clean and nice, surrounding area was clean. Room we stayed in was a good size room too. We enjoyed our time here. The clerk recommended the Beach Grill on the beach for breakfast and it was great.
The perfect pick for an affordable weekend in Santa Barbara. One and 1/2 blocks from the beach, quiet, and some rooms even have ocean views. The electric buses running along ocean street will take you to the state street shopping and nightlife in minutes and for only $1.00 (50 cents to state street, then a second 50 cents to go as far up state street as you would want to go).
We were very pleased with this quaint little hotel. It was a short walk away from the beach and other attractions. We actually walked to this hotel from the Amtrak station. We also walked to Stearns Wharf from the hotel. This hotel is near gorgeous Chase Palm Park. Our room was clean and spacious. It had a nice pool located right out front. I'd stay here again.
Reasonably priced hotel just across the street from the beach a few steps from Santa Barbara Pier. The water in our room tasted sulphuric, which was a bummer, and it was a little confusing trying to find the pool on the property. Nothing fancy, but in a pinch, it sufficed.
It is hard to describe how amazing this hotel is. The immaculately manicured grounds with amazing views are a wonderful experience. Several of the rooms have private hot tubs. The Stonehouse restaurant is one the best in Santa Barbara.
We just stayed here for one night. The hotel is beautiful inside and out, remarkably quiet, and two blocks from both the beach and State Street. So happy we stayed here, and will do the same next time we're back in Santa Barbara.
