I waited for 5 weeks to get an estimate to build a very large stamped concrete patio. I exchanged emails with the owner who kept saying he would get back to me and in the end his employee admitted on the phone that they really didn't want to do my job--I wasn't buying a pool.

Bahama Blue Poolscapes took over my swimming pool project when another company couldn't deliver. They handled all the permit transfer paperwork and finished out my pool better than we had even expected it to look with the first company. I'm so glad my friend recommended them to me. Our family …
Anthony & Sylvan in Austin is an amazing inground pool building company. I have had only great experiences with these pool builders.
I was impressed with the level of detail and knowledge in the planning stage of the project. The show room is great place to start with all the options available, great customer service....
DO NOT do business with Leisure Pools OR Chris Bradford. Check to make sure they are not operating under this name or any other. They stole $19,000. from us (took the $, dug a hole and left) and $100's of thousands from other families. Check with the TX Atty. Generals Office for all complaints and law suits. They are lying, thieving bastards!
My pool was constructed by Blue Haven way back in 1993. I got a letter from the City of Austin that I have a code violation, with a fine of $2,000.00 per day if not corrected. I got the registered letter on May 16, 2015, after 22 years ago. My advise to all pool owners, be sure to check with the city if their pool contractors have all the permits required, I called Blue Haven for this and the only response I got was Blue Haven will come after the inspection is done. I think this is one of the strategies of pool companies to make more money. The owner told me that there is no way that my 22 years old pool will pass inspection, so they are ready to help me when the inspection is done. I have asked the owner of Blue Haven to come and see the pool to give me recommendations on how to pass inspection, but he insisted it is a waste of his time to do it. Just do the inspection he said and if it fails, which he guaranteed it will fail, then he said to call him so he can help me. Of course I have to pay. Even during the construction, I have to deal with obnoxious and rude, unprofessional people. I had a big headache dealing with these people and they did not do what they said they will do. I have to pay extra thousands for the decking which was supposed to be included in the price contract. They did not do the gunite decking until I paid them extra. Still after paying them extra they still did not do the gunite, and after 22 years, I have to deal with code violations. They are fraud, so beware. I have to give them a negative rating not even 1 star rating but this system will not allow me to post unless I have a rating.THIS COMPANY IS STILL OPEN.
Can you give Zero stars??? I contracted to have a pool built by Blue Haven in Austin (managed through San Antonio) in Dec 2011. To date, they have still not completed the pool. What has been "completed" does not meet the contract and design specs. I don't have the hours it would take to detail every issue but some highlights are:1) The form of the pool is not according to contract. For example, spillways are much smaller than what the contract specifies. A ledge was installed despite the fact that we expressly indicated that we didn't want one (and it's is not in the design specs), etc.2. They installed the wrong plaster. When questioned about it, they said, "That's an upgrade. You should be happy about that mistake." It's not an upgrade if we don't like it!3. The equipment installed is not what was committed to in the contract. Instead, they installed lesser quality, cheaper equipment. I can only assume that they hoped we wound not notice.4. The workmanship is shoddy. The coping is cracking and the deck has been repaired 4 different times now. I could go on and on about the issues of shoddy workmanship.5. They refuse to honor their warranty, despite many promises.I have spent an enormous amount of time dealing with the parade of people that they continue to assign to my pool, including managing their subs since Blue Haven continually failed to have anyone on site to manage and direct their work. A pool is an exciting, fun project. If you want to keep it that way, STAY AWAY FROM BLUE HAVEN.
They have problems. Supposedly sold by Darren Merlob in 2011 who now is in California telling about how good he is. Their address has been changed unknown to me until the PO has said they hadn't been able to get my certified letter signed. Merlob resurfaced our pool in early 2010 with Aquafin. By midyear 2011 It started blistering and our Polaris started picking up a netfull of particles every week. etc so we tried contacting them about their great 5 yr warrenty. We had no luck getting a response until we went to the BBB. In Sept 2011 as a result of the BBB we were informed they would start work on November 6th. In the spring the resealed Aquafin pool began to peel. Do to illness in the family and my two surgeries we delayed contacting them untilabout the 8th of July with an email. No response so we sent a certified letter with a return receipt request to the prior Austech address on2899 Waymaker Way #27 78746. PO has been unable to deliver, Tonight I began my search and found the 139 Tanager address - called the same phone number and Celia answered(same person that answered for Merlob. According to Wikipedia company was sold in 2011 to someone with a name of Hill and Merlob is touting his pool success in California. Any way have found at least one other person on Yelp with similar problems. Our POOL is Sick. Second try by Austech is a disaster. We can.t run the Polarisas the net fills with the peeling Aquafin and tears the net, From Darren I would like our $money back plus damages. Not likely . He may have left Florida for Texas just like he's flown the coop for Calif now.
We have dreamed our whole lives to have a pool in our backyard, and Blue Haven Pools has helped us make that a reality. We want to thank everyone for their professionalism and exceptional performance throughout the project. Everything went swimmingly and we are enjoying the pool daily!
My husband and I decided last summer to have a pool installed in our back yard. We contacted several pool companies in the Austin Area. The first two pool companies came out and they were a complete turn off! They were only interested in how much money we were going to spend on our pool, not once asking us what our preferences were for the pool. They were supposed to draw up plans for our pool (which we were not sure how since they never asked us what we wanted, but only how much $$$ we wanted to spend). We never have heard back from either one of those pool companies!!! We then called Blue Haven Pools located in Austin, Tx on Addie Roy Rd. Their salesman came to the house and the first item we discussed was what shape we wanted for our pool. After spending an hour discussing what we were looking for in a pool, if we wanted a recreation pool or a sports pool, we starting talking price. I will say my husband and I were nervous since they waited so long to discuss price. I must say we were pleasantly surprised for how much we were getting and how it was so affordable. We definitely decided to have Blue Haven install our pool. This has been our first summer swimming in our pool. It is the best decision we could have made going with Blue Haven. The Blue Haven team is very professional, friendly and efficient. I would recommend Blue Haven Pools in Austin to install anyone's pool!!!! Thanks Blue Haven Team!!!
Our experience with Blue Haven Pools was everything we expected and more. We were very pleased throughout the whole process, especially the final product. They have some of the most respectful employees you could ask for, and they truly went above and beyond. Their service department has given us their prompt attention to a warranty issue after the project was completed. Any time we hear of someone who wants a pool we will not hesitate to recommend Blue Haven Pools.
