My mom and I came into this store and were helped by Cory. We each ordered an iPhone 7 Plus which needed to be delivered to the store. My mom lives in NJ, I in Florida. We were told we would have no issues shipping her phone to her and having it activated in NJ. Orders were placed October 16, 2016.My phone was delivered to the store November 8, 2016. I got a call from Cory and planned to pick it up that weekend. My father passed away unexpectedly on Nov. 10 and I flew to NJ right away. I called Cory and let him know about the death in our family, can he hold my phone and my moms when it comes in. He said yes, and he knew I would be home within 2-3 weeks. My mom and I got 5 calls from different Verizon store employees asking when I would be in. Each time we explained the situation and were assured our phones would be held!! We told them I would absolutely be in the store today, Wednesday Nov. 30. Here I am, and my phone is gone! Cory was called and said he didn't remember us and never ordered my phone. I have text messages from Verizon that it was delivered to the store on Nov. 8. They sold it and don't want to take responsibility nor would they do anything to rectify the situation. No apology, no rush on a new phone...My moms phone was delivered to the store a week from today. They still had that one but said that we cannot send it to her in NJ without shutting off her old phone. Cory had all this info prior and again were told it wouldn't be a problem. I had to leave her phone in the store. I'm sure they'll sell it without a problem. The 5 people we talked to couldn't communicate to each other and others in the store to hold my phone?!? I am livid at their lack of caring, teamwork, and general attitude regarding all of this. They do NOT care about customer service.
