Overall
Worst camping trip EVER

I had the unfortunate experience of stumbling upon autumn hills as one of the very last campgrounds with occupancy on a long weekend. It was quickly obvious why! The "campground" is really an rv park. Our tent site was not big enough for 2 tents let alone 2 cars. The "lake" is a swamp and the only way to cool off is in a packed and dirty pool. We flooded out our second night and in order to cook we used the fire pit of a second empty campsite...not only were we charged DOUBLE for both sites but we were done so without being told. The female owner is a wretched woman with no idea how to run a business and has no clue what customer service is. Most of the people were beyond wasted the whole weekend and that was acceptable but if a weekend camper does not douse their fire at 12 on the dot the evil old lady comes over and screams at you. People freely walked through our campsite and one even helped himself to our cooler at 2am knowing there are no rules for them. It was horrible and my worst camping experience in 30 years of camping multiple times a year! Never again and I recommend not putting yourself through it!!!

Overall
Autumn Hills Campground a huge disappointment

Disclaimer: This was written based on what we have witness and based on our bad experiences at Autumn Hills Campground from May 1,2008 to Oct 15,2010. We are sharing our experiences only. We hope that The campground will improved.

In Over 40 yrs of camping these last two years At AHC have been the worst camping experiences ever. We are not angry or disgruntle people, we are just VICTIMS! We where Customers at Autumn Hills Campground, and during our stay we have been treated POORLY along with being treated UNFAIRLY and MISTREATED to a point that we have chosen not to go back; Autumn Hills Campground has had issues before our arrival, Starting with a one person who has a bad temper and is violent, he goes after other campers in rages, tossing stuff and threatens them. He even went after the owner last year and his son, but still remains at the campground, this is same couple that has cause excessive noise after hours. The owner are putting other campers at risk and don’t even care. The bathrooms are disgusting and need a lot of updating, not just a paint job. Some of the showers don’t work and they even closed and locked them before the season official ends. Also the owner have their clicks, they break the rule for some and not others. And they play each camper against each other. We all got lectured on gossiping, and it was them who spread personal stuff around. During our time at AHC we have also seen at 70 yr old seasonal camper sleeping in his car because he sold his camper through the owners, this was in 90 degree weather and he was homeless. Not one time did the owners check on him or offered him a place to stay. Our first year at Autumn Hills Campground we had lots of rain through the season and our site was like a pond, we ask the owner if he can bring in some dirt to build it up or even stones and we were told no, but then others can have lawns and stone brought in. One of the seasonal camper had left, but still left their electric on and also left some personal stuff on her site, the owners removed their belongings and not once did they contact them to let them know, technically the site was still theirs until Oct 15. Also The same seasonal is due for a rebate on 60 Lbs propane that was left in her tank, and it is the owner reasonability to issue it to her, this seasonal is still waiting for her rebate, Looks like she will have to fight for it. But there is a lot of bad stuff and I would not want to bring my family back there. This campground was a huge disappointment, The campground is dirty and run down; and some seasonal site are poorly maintained or look abandoned. In our area alone 11 seasonal have pulled out prior to the end of the season ending. And the Owner are moving seasonal people around so the place doesn’t look so empty in one area. Normal if a good site opened up they would not let a seasonal camper have first option. We have also contact the owners on the issues in writing and never gotten a response or a apology for emotional stress it has put us through. This Campground has destroyed families and ruined friendships!

Overall
NOT Recommended

If I could give No stars I would. This is NOT a GREAT campground( for seasonal) and I have been at this Campground for over five years. there are allot of stuff that goes on if you are in with the owners (who have their clicks) then you get to do whatever you want. There have been over 10 seasonal campers that have left so far before the season ended and ask yourself why is there some many seasonal leaving, I know the people that left, they are good people who are not angry or disgruntle they choose to move on, due to all the bad stuff that goes on at this place they also have been treated poorly by the owners for no reason at all. Any positive review they are coming from either the owners or friends of the owners or seasonal campers who they have bribed to move to a better site. Dave did they tell you the ones up on the Hill (Site 16 & 17)are also available along with sites 22,24,26,?

Overall
Discusted with autumn hills campground

Autumn Hills Campground is the only campground that does not have a

seasonal meeting. They had one in 5 years and it turned into a big fiasco.

they did not want to hear any input from the campers and they have not had one

since.
