I’m so thankful and lucky that Travel beyond help me, special that I had to talk to Jeanie Fundora, ( she speaks fluent spanish and english )
Jeanie is an expert on every aspect of your trip to Africa, from what area to go depending on what you like or necessities ( adventure, romantic, luxury, exclusive, etc) to best planner of logistics on your trip, when you are talking about Africa you have to think and plan a lot on logistics, because there are not much flights to small cities and very few charters to some reserves ( or you have to pay your own private charter and that’s very expensive ), and Jeanine does all that work for you the best way ( best times, best budget, and most comfort )
In our 22 day honeymonn trip, Lorenia my wife and I had the best experience of our lives, I cant think of 1 thing didn’t go as planned or as we want it to or expect. On the contrary, it higher our expectations way way higher. 100% recommend this agent and travel agency.
Kota Tabuchi of Travel Beyond planned my husband and my honeymoon to South Africa, a place I have always dreamed of going. After several email exchanges and a phone call, Kota was able to piece together the kind of trip he thought would suit us best. Having returned from our trip last week I can say with confidence he did an INCREDIBLE job. Each stop on the trip was better than the next which really speaks to the excellent flow Kota's planning provided. From the safari to Capetown to the wine country to Grootbos in Gansbaai, we got a taste for four very different landscapes and cultures. There was no stress at any point throughout our stay because every detail was worked out and taken care of. I will absolutely be using Travel Beyond for future trips!
My wife and I just returned from our first safari in Africa. Our arrangements for the safari were handled by Travel Beyond. Kota Tabuchi was our travel consultant for this trip. We had never been on safari before so it was a pleasure to work with Kota for our trip. We used miles for our international airfare so we did not have a lot of flexibility when it came to dates. Kota had several telephone conversations with me and my wife to get an idea of what we were looking for and what kind of travelers we were. Based upon feedback from several of our friends, we were leaning towards a lodge type of camp in Sabi Sands in South Africa. He provided us with a couple of different itineraries to choose from. One had two different camps in South Africa and one with two camps in Zimbabwe.
Kota suggested that we consider “tent style” camps in Zimbabwe to get a more traditional style of safari experience. We took his suggestions and it was the best experience we’ve ever had. Our “tents” were like rooms in a 5 star hotel.
Kota was always prompt in replying to emails and phone calls. Once we secured the international airfare using miles, I reached out to Kota and he quickly confirmed our space at two different camps. The other staff members at Travel Beyond were also easy to work with. They promptly sent out confirmations and arranged trip insurance for us as well.
The two camps he recommended in Zimbabwe were terrific. They were both unique and provided us with different experiences. We spent 4 nights at Ruckomechi Camp and then 3 nights at Little Makololo Camp. Both camps were Wilderness Safari camps and both were exceptional experiences. Everything arranged by Travel Beyond went off without a hitch. Drivers met us when they were supposed to, light aircraft flights between camps were right on schedule and accommodations at all camps were exactly as promised. We will definitely do it again and we will definitely use Travel Beyond again.
We used Travel Beyond/Marguerite Smit to organize our first trip to Africa. We were not sure where to go and conveyed to Marguerite that our preference was game and nature viewing. Marguerite was very familiar with the area and suggested Mashatu, Pafuri, and Mala Mala game reserves. She organized for us a very efficient 11 day itinerary to visit the three locations and did a very good job to help us prepare for the trip. The trip plan went extremely well without any issues. The game viewing/drives at both Mala Mala and Mashatu were superb. We saw the big five plus much more. Accommodations, service, food at all sites was very good. This was a very memorable vacation. I highly recommend using this agency for trips to Africa. I plan to go again will definitely contact Marguerite Smit for next trip.
Jeanie Fundora of Travel Beyond did a terrific job of organizing a complicated trip to Africa for 8 people that involved travel to Botswana, Rwanda, Tanzania, and Kenya, with stays in hotels, lodges and tented camps over a four week period. Her suggestions for travel arrangments and accommodations were all terrific, and she approached all requests with energy and attention to detail. Her experience in Africa showed in the recommendations she made, including where to stay for optimum gorilla and chimp trekking. When one of the travellers ran into difficulties with a flight delay, Jeanie responded quickly to help solve the resulting problems. Overall, the trip was a "top ten" life-travel experience.

Our family just got back from Tanzania safari /Zanzibar trip last week. I can't wait to share my experience with others. Our family travel twice a year all over the world and this trip is one of best trips we have taken so far because Craig, Travel Beyond's owner has gone beyond any customer service I has received in years. I had a family emergency came up a week before the trip. Instead of traveling with my family, I had to leave my wife and kids traveling to Africa alone and meet up with them 6 days later to join them in the middle of the trip. This required changing room assignments and cancel/rebook rooms, plus adding internal flight to catch up to my family. Craig did all that for me. I didn't think that was possible. He even offer to talk to my wife to ease her fear traveling with kids without me in Africa. Plus he also emailed me their daily progress via email while I was dealing with my family emergency. Craig and his company offers true customer service.
In the beginnning, I did my research online while shopping for tour operators in Africa and came across Travel Beyond info on Trip Advisor forum. I was down to 3 quotes and Craig called to explained his trips in details while other company just gave me the price and itinerary. It is the service that makes his company stands out and quality of service that makes me happy to work with him in our future trips.
I have planned several trips using the folks at Travel Beyond's knowledge. Whether I used them to book and execute the trip or not, I have always have great service. Everyone is friendly, extremely knowledgeable and always eager to help. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.
Travel Beyond's owner, Craig Beal, as well as some of his agents, are some of the most helpful and knowledgeable people I've come across in researching my upcoming trip to Africa. They offer their advice and insights free on travel planning sites like Trip Advisor. It was largely because of these helpful posts that I decided to choose them to plan and book my Africa safari. Agent Su Rovegno spent hours with me designing my perfect trip. She booked excursions, tee times, all the internal flights (which were a logisitical nightmare), and transfers. She was brilliant at taking my sketchy ideas and quickly clarifying them into the perfect itinerary. NO money was asked for until I was completely satisified and ready to book the trip. She even helped me out with hotels and advice about London and Paris, which are the cities bookending my Africa trip, even though they are not part of the Africa itinerary I'm booking with the company. The idea that these folks are 'shady' is just absurd. It sounds to me like 'alphacharliekilo' just wanted some free trip planning and never intended to use Travel Beyond's services.

I used one of their agents, Jenny, to book a flight to Cape Town and she was awesome.
However, Sande Kouba and SueRovegno were unhelpful, misleading, and didn't return phone calls. Because Sande never got back to me (I called her several times and left messages), I ended up booking a flight a few weeks later (not through them) than I wanted to and ended up paying a few hundred more.
SueRovegno tried to get me to put down a $200 non-refundable deposit before giving me a rough price range on travel plans and refused to assist me any further until I gave her that $200. I've never heard of such shady business practices. I would have had no problem paying that $200 had they given me a more specific itinerary beyond ""$3,450 for 6 days on a Safari not including overnights and sightseeing."" Poor service. Will never use them again in the future despite one redeeming agent, Jenny.
