It takes them months to repair the smallest issues like the changing of the light bulbs in the hallways, and in some cases more than a year. They seriously ask you to fix things yourself. They don't return your phone calls and when they do they treat you like it’s your fault. Our apartment smells of sewage occasionally and from what I do not know. The maintenance man said “we were told by a plumber that there was a break in the main sewage pipe”, he told me that a year ago. When I confronted the owner about this he said “the smell was coming from spilled milk from my daughter”. We had only lived here a couple of weeks at that point and at that time my daughter couldn’t hold her bottle, I had to feed her. Our kitchen sink backed up the first night we were here, the water looked like puke and it overflowed on to the kitchen floor. It repeated this process throughout the night; this still happens from time to time and the smell is rancid. They didn’t see this as an emergency and they waited to come until the following day, and when the maintenance man showed up he treated us like we were an inconvenience. And one year later it’s still not fixed. And if they do show up, they are late. When they are finished pretending they have fixed something they leave your house in a mess and your door unlocked. People smoke in the hallways. The laundry machines are always breaking down and we have yet to be reimbursed the money lost to the machine and again they will not return my phone calls. The property manager treated my mother horribly when she was here with her dog, which is a support animal and can legally be here. The garbage area is always a disaster. There is furniture sitting by the dumpster that was there from a year ago when we first moved in. The air conditioners don’t work and half of the floor heaters don't either. Another tenant went three months without heat. There are power surges all the time. The water turns yellow on occasions and smells like sewage. There is a bug/mice infestation. We can hear the mice running around in the ceiling and when you wake up in the middle of the night you catch them running around. During this past winter my wife and I and our two kids have been sick with the flu three times, throwing up on all 3 occasions, our only conclusion is that it is something with this apartment. It took them six months to fix the leak, and a hole in the vanity in the apartment above me, so we have water damage on the bathroom ceiling. Save yourself the nightmare and don't even bother renting from "Maple Plain Apartments", AKA “WAYZATA BAY REALITY". It is a freak show and its being ran by incompetent individuals.
