I have lived in this area since 1999. When we got here we took our dogs to another place for dog care and when we learned about Rocky Top, we decided to try them out. When we got our little girl Precious they handled her like she was tomorrows gift. Her first grooming was when she was three months old and weighed only 11 ounces. When I picked her up from that grooming it looked like she was very happy and loved everyone there.
They have groomed (and on one occation kenneled) our dogs Binki, Teddy Bear, Precious, Koda and now our baby Cookie. I would not trust any one else to care for our babies. Unfortunately, Binki, Koda, and Precious are no longer with us but they treat Cookie like she was a pot of gold. When any of my little ones passed, and when I had surgeries they were even caring enough to acknowledge that by sending a card. How much more caring can a groomer and kennel get? I would highly recommend them for your dogs grooming and kennel needs.
I do NOT appreciate you calling all the groomers at rocky top incompetent. I am highly educated and training in the grooming industry. How dare you slander everyone in this store when they all tried very hard to accommodate you and your attitude.riddle me this,why would you stop in with 2 dogs that do not have an appointment 30 mins before your vet appointment all the way in Lebanon. . That's like taking your kids to the doctors and getting mad because they can't be seen and you are running late. Maybe you should allow yourself more time for your "busy life". And also we have Cameras with audio that shows you being a rude incompetent individual!
I had been a loyal several year customer for both pet food, supplies, and grooming. However, after today, the woman working grooming was dishonest, inept at her job, and showed complete disregard for her customers time. I had 30 minutes to get from Waynesville to Lebanon to have my 3rd pet spayed. She stated that the first available Saturday for grooming was the first of May. (Later found to be a lie) She was to make 2 appointments the first Friday of April and the first Saturday of May. She did not understand that she could allow me to leave and she could just transcribe the information from one entry on the calendar to the other. She "needed" me to stay and recite all of my information over and over and over again because she was not the sharpest knife on the block. Then she then told me that I can't make an appointment on the first Saturday of May like she initially told me. Mind that this is 15 minutes into the interaction. when I said I had to get somewhere and she was wasting my time. She accused me of being rude. Hmmm, no, its rude to waste people's time because you don't know how to do your job and use common sense. I left because I had 15 minutes to go 30 miles. I called and asked the clerk to have a manager call me. Approximately an hour later, the "manager" (turned out to be the owners daughter) called and not even 30 seconds into the call she hangs up as soon as I began talking. I came back to the store at approximately 6 pm and when I asked to speak with the manager, The owner comes out and states that I am wasting his time and would not even listen to what I had to say. This is even after buying $85 of food and a bin. He then stated that despite being a long time customer that he no longer wanted my business.These people have major problems. They hire incompetent groomers and they show no love or respect for their customers. If this is how they treat their long time loyal customers; then it makes me question the treatment that my dogs have received over the years. I feel horrible that I may have put my dogs at risk by bringing them here for grooming.
