Dr. Esmeraldo Diaz Herrera, MD

I am extremely disappointing in the way Dr. Herrera handled my husbands visit. My husband cut his hand badly and was taken to Waynesboro Hospital. Dr. Herrera looked at his hand and without doing X-rays or taking any deeper looks into the cut, he simply said everything was fine, no tendon damage, and it would heal properly. My husband had tendon damage in all four fingers. By the time he realized this, it was too late to perform surgery as an X-ray would have told him this and surgery would have been performed within a week of the accident. Due to Dr. Herrera's adequateness, my husband no longer has flexer tendens and cannot do MANY of the things he used to do due to the horrible review of his hand situation when seeing Dr. Herrera. Not only did the hospital not feel any remorse for the situation, but he STILL owes Dr. Herrera personally thousands of dollars. The hospital and Doctor should be held accountable for their poor service and we would NEVER refer anyone to him.
