One person, the manager- is unfortunately the reason my family will not go back. We were regulars, and have spent many meals at this Captain Joes- the Food is great. However after having the manager (older fella with a limp) throw a tantrum with us while checking out one day. Because of a card, (one of those that - you get so many checks and you get a discount) we had 2 to put together, and Oh my, when that was mentioned. He threw his hands up - and said Why.... do people think they can do that.... he was so angry, I quickly said never mind- He continued to rant. I told him to keep the cards. My goodness, he was rude, and treated us like trash. We will not be back,
Went for dinner on 11/26/12 to celebrate wife's birthday. We were not impressed with the “modern” seaside decor, looking at 4 small flag pictures on a large wall did nothing to enhance our appetite. When seated by the hostess I mentioned my wife’s birthday, never to be heard of again. The salads had very little dressing and no tomatoes. My wife’s platter (broiled seafood) looked to be half empty, mine (Admirals seafood) on the other hand was overflowing with fish and french fries. Now folks, I have a darn good set of teeth but could not chew the clam strips. The food was tasty but not outstanding in any manner and the sweet tea is hardly sweet and served with a large hunk of lemon in it. The only real nice thing was our waitress, polite and timely. The bill for this? Try $45.00 without tip. Like the raven said, “Never more”.
