Really, really helpful people!
I was in town for the day for work and when I finished, my car wouldn't start. The auto parts place next door managed to get me jump started but told me my alternator wasn't charging my battery and I would never make it home. They couldn't do anything more for me. They suggested Stolze's and I'm sure glad they did!
Because I was stuck in Wausau, had nobody to call and no way to get home, they fit me in. Unfortunately for me the alternator wasn't the problem :-( He put the old one back in, and only charged me for charging the battery back up so I could make it home. He also gave me some VERY helpful suggestions as to what the problem may be.
I regularly work in Wausau and will be scheduling regular maintenance there whenever I can! I wish there was more I could do to get the word out about this GREAT shop

Provided by Superpagesi.e., A local favorite, or highly recommenI recently bought a lemon from Hometown Motors. Since June, when I bought a 2007 Chevy Cobalt, about $350 dollars was put into it for repairs. Granted, they picked up a small portion of it (after some hassling.) But then tonight I was getting it checked out again and found out that the front suspension, which was "repaired" by Stolze Auto Repair of Wausau, has something else worn with it and it is going to cost another $376 to repair/replace. You do the math, that is over $700 dollars in maintanence costs for four months of owning a car from here. Stolze Auto Repair, who made the repair the first time, also does the checking of their inventory, so beware, because they cleared it. Call it bad luck, but I would NEVER buy a car from here because how they can put something on the lot in this bad of shape is ridiculous.

Provided by SuperpagesI've taken my Passat there and they have always been professional, helpful with their explanations, and reasonably priced. Only place in town for me to take my car, based on some poor experiences with others.

Provided by SuperpagesI used to work here a while back. I have seen they type of work they do and how every thing is done. A++ No short cuts ever taken-not allowed! Quality mechanics down there, they know their stuff! This is the only place in town I take my car for things I cannot do myself because I know it will be done right! Work performed is just like factory-Highly recommended!
