I called, and scheduled a pickup, and made a reservation. I told them where I was, and was told that the driver was on break, but would be back soon, and then he'd come to pick me up in "probably 30 minutes, but it might be an hour". I told them that my mother was waiting on the side of the road, and described where, and who to look for. He told me that the driver would call me when he was in the area, and tell me what car to look for.

An hour later, I called back, in case they couldn't get through for some reason, and told them that the driver hadn't called yet. He then said that he was "just about to call me", and that he looked it up on the map right after he hung up with me, and it was too far, and because they were busy, he wasn't going to bother sending his driver. I asked why he didn't call me at the time and tell me that (as my mother had been standing on the side of the road for an hour now), and he said that he'd been too busy, and had just then had the time to call me.

He then asked if I could maybe call a cab or something to get me there. He ruined my future use of Enterprise, I will _NEVER_ use them again.

Hertz was nice enough to go out of their way, AND stay open late, just to pick me up, and rent me a car. As well, they gave me a free upgrade to a small SUV, so that I wouldn't have to cram my family into a sedan.
