We had reservations at Jay's for winter 2011-2012. They require a deposit up front by check ($90 in our case). We kept hearing that snow conditions were not that great but when we called the resort to cancel they kept insisting that the snow was fine and not to cancel yet. This wasn't the case because friends kept telling us otherwise. So we finally called the Tuesday before our reservations to cancel and Jay told my husband that "We can't rent the cabin out on this late of notice." and we probably wouldn't get our deposit back. Of COURSE not!! Because you didn't let us cancel when we originally wanted to! Long story short, we did NOT get our $90 back and we will NEVER EVER EVER recommend or stay at Jay's resort again. Do yourselves a favor and stay someplace else because there's no cancelling if you book here and the snow doesn't cooperate!!
