This man is a shyster and a crook. The car I bought from him is a death trap stalling in traffic almost killing my daughter and myself
This place is a joke. They just want your money and once they get over thousands of dollars from you they decide to take the car out of know where but the owner will call you if you're over your mileage or if you didn't get your oil change, but can't call and say your late on the payment. Seriously this place is a rip off and he says he pay a for the free oil change that's a lie, that's all rolled into the car payment! This place is a terrible place to "lease" because they give you false hopes of buying the car that you just put thousands and thousands of dollars into. They seem real friendly at first but that's just to get your money and that's exactly what they did.
I leased a car from them beginning in October of 2013. The process was easy, the staff was friendly and helpful and pricing was clear and straightforward. The bi-weekly payments took some getting used to but the fact that they reported the payments to the credit bureaus quickly helped with rebuilding my credit immensely. When I had an issue with my power steering module, which was covered by the warranty, the process of getting my car fixed was simple and I had it back within a week -- they even had a loaner for me! The free oil changes is a great perk as well. When someone hit my car in a parking lot, Clyde helped me find a replacement trunk lid (which I installed myself) and even got me a great deal on it instead of having to deal with my insurance company. Sure, you pay a little bit more per month than you would if you financed a car outright through one of those other "guaranteed credit" places, but the warranty, free oil changes, customer service, and help rebuilding credit are all worth it. At the end of my lease term I ended up getting approved for a loan, thanks to my now improved credit, and purchased the car from them. I even bought an extended warranty they offer which was a great deal. All in all, 5 stars and I refer anyone I know with damaged credit, looking for a vehicle to them.Disclaimer: I am not, nor have I ever been an employee of auto city leasing, I am not related to any staff members, and I have NOT been paid to write this review, I'm just a satisfied customer.
Very nice owner and great deals will come again ....................................................
Robert the owner has been ducking me for a year! He sold me an extended warranty with known issues to the car that he later tried to scam the warranty to fix. When I would not allow him to, because he stated in writing HE was fixing my AC. He then opted not to fix my AC when I clearly told him before paying I DID NOT want the van if he could not fix the AC. I bought the van July 2015 and still no AC or Robert! Once I get him from a different phone number he dodged that number too! Thank you Robert for your lies and I had to give you 1 star to post, you deserve a negative rating!
I recently purchased a Ford Edge from Auto City. I was treated with respect and dignity though the whole process. Dana and Clyde are awesome. They never looked down on me because of my bad credit and hard to prove income. Dana worked hard to get me approved though Genysis credit union for a week and never gave up on me. I never thought I could get such a nice car and I am extremely happy with it. I did have two small issues after I picked it up I called Dana and they were handle that day. I will definitely purchase from them in the future.
My husband Tony has probably bought about 15 vehicles over the past 25 years, but he has sworn that he would never buy from a dealership because he had a negative impression of "used car salesmen." We had been searching online for weeks for an 8-passenger minivan, and when "just what we had been looking for" came up at R&R Motors he reluctantly agreed we could drive three hours to look at it. Our experience there was excellent, and there was absolutely no pressure from either the man or the woman we worked with there. I think the man's name was Joe, but his signature on our paperwork was not one of his strong points, so I'm not sure. When Tony thanked him for not pressuring us in any way, he said something like, "I sure wouldn't want someone rushing me if I was trying to make a decision, so I don't do it to others." Anyway, we LOVE our new van, and wouldn't hesitate to work with R&R Motors next time around. Good luck in your search. Maybe your next vehicle is at R&R like ours was.
The people at Auto City Leasing in Waterford, Michigan are not to be trusted. This place is what gives used car dealerships a bad name. They lie, lie, lie, constantly check your credit when leasing from them (creating inquires on your report and lowering it); and also constantly GPS track where you are at all times. If you are three days late on your TWICE PER MONTH payment, or drive over 50 miles per day, they will SHUT OFF YOUR CAR, no matter where you are! This place constantly drains your bank account. They have old, bad mechanical cars (many have been in floods), and it will cost you a fortune to fix them! The only good reviews you will see about Auto City, are the ones written by the Secretary Dana (who is a nutcase). Ask around the business community before you buy anything from this place... They will tell you that they have ZERO repeat business!
I got my car for about $2000~ below KBB Value, I was super happy
This is our 3rd vehicle purchased from Lakes Auto Center... another excellent experience! Thanks again!
