Unfortunately, our had experienced a bad flood after a main pipe broke at our home this past June. Fortunately, our insurance covered moving our pieces out of the first and second story floor of our home and placing them in storage while we were in limbo having floors, molding, and other things redone around the home due to the flood. We interviewed several companies, but decided to use Schea Van Lines for our service. A representative from Schea Van Lines came out to the address and gave us an estimate, which the insurance company had requested. Furthermore, Schea Van Lines sent out a few packers a couple days prior to prep the undamaged furniture and to pack some of our cabinets that we would not be using during the restoration. When the pieces were finally ready to move to the new home, blankets were covering everything throughout. The men had efficiently loaded the things into their truck, and off they went to storage. I was happy with the overall process. The items were kept in a climate controlled storage facility for the duration of my home's restoration. Finally after all was concluded, at the house, we called the guys at Schea Van Lines to deliver and they did just that. We were moved into our newly refinished home as if nothing ever happened.

Over the weekend Schea Van Lines relocated my family's three bedroom home from Ann Arbor to Canton. Considering I am starting a new position and my wife is commencing retirement, we did not have much time to plan and execute the moving of our home. We made one simple phone call to Schea Van Lines and they told us to "Consider it done!" They did just that. Schea Van Lines sent an estimator out to the address and provided us with an estimate that within 10% of the actual final bill. I was impressed as I imagine it's difficult to estimate a three bedroom family home. On moving day four professional movers arrived with two trucks. The operation was clearly properly outfitted as we did not need anymore and certainly could not have done with any less. Each piece was prepped properly before the movers loaded into their trucks. At the new home each piece was unloaded professionally and placed exactly where we had asked it to be placed. After all furniture was unloaded they assembled what needed to be and unwrapped the furnishings. The final bill came to be $1,750 and change. We were quoted $1,625. Pretty accurate for a cross town move. They left us in the new home relieved and relaxed. Glad we chose Schea Van Lines and I will be urging others to do the same.
First-class service it was. Our company had to move offices recently to a larger space due to an expansion. We researched several commercial relocation companies for the best option to bring us to our new location. Schea Van Lines stressed that they would minimize the downtime due to moving our staff would experience. Everyone was thrilled with this as we need to work. Schea Van Lines sent out a an advisor prior to the move to tell each team member at the office what they needed to do to prepare for the big moving day. This helped as it cut down on a great deal of commotion and confusion on the actual move date. Each office staff member was instructed to place all of their loose papers and odds and ends into the banker boxes Schea Van Lines provided. From there they were asked to write their full name on the box. I could see on the actual move in day why this was so important. The men from Schea Van Lines selectively put each box into the employees new office and left it there for the staff to unpack on their first day back to work. All in all we ended up only being down for one day as the entire move transpired in only a single day. I was very impressed with the organization and skill of these men.
Schea Van Lines were A+Schea Van Lines relocated my father from New Albany to Hilliard last Tuesday. The moving was done very well, but the courtesy of the men spoke volumes. Considering it was simply a retirement home, Schea did not have much to move. The men simply had a couch, bed, a few dressers, and about 30 boxes. All very easy. What impressed me was that I had to run to pick up my daughter from school during the move and had no way of getting my dad to his new home. The office of Schea Van Lines phoned an uber for my dad and made certain he arrived at the new address safely with the movers so he could direct where he wanted things to go. It may have only been a $15 uber for Schea Van Lines, but the courtesy these men had was truly impressive. They could have left him behind, or kept the billing clock running until I got back. Instead they said were going to keep going and your father's coming too. Very nice experience we had. Thank you again Schea.
Phoned Schea Van Lines for a quick quote over their online portal. Immediately a specialist from Schea Van Lines returned my call with service information and pricing particulars. After speaking with gal in the office, I determined Schea Van Lines had the best price and potentially the best service. I reserved a staff of five men and two trucks. All guys were uniformed and properly equipped. You could tell that they had quality men that had experience with both packing and moving. Schea Van Lines were specialists that made the day better and easier. I did not care for the shrink wrap charge of $26 that came with things, but all in all I was happy that there were no additional charges. Van Lines I have used in the past will multiply total at the end to get you for extra hidden fees. I did not experience any of this with Schea.I would phone Schea Van Lines again need be. Thanks for the hard work.
Schea Van Lines provided fantastic service to my wife and I. We had a unique situation considering the majority of pieces were going to storage and the other pieces remaining were destined for our temporary apartment and then our storage facility. We were thrilled with the work that Schea Van Lines had done for us. When the estimator came out they had suggested labeling each piece destined for a different drop off be labeled with different color tape. This way the movers would know to which address each piece should be delivered too. The day of the move each piece was properly delivered to the correct address. I was overall very pleased with the handling, loading, and unloading of our pieces. The invoice after was proper as well. Schea Van Lines exceeded our expectations. Thank you!
Can't thank these guys enough for making a stressful situation all the better. Moving a family home only weeks before school starts is not an easy transition to make. However, after phoning Schea Van Lines, my worries were put to rest. One call and all was handled. Schea Van Lines sent out a specialist from their Dublin office the day that I phoned them. The estimator from Schea Van Lines told me exactly what it would cost for moving services. He also assured me he would have a special team on my job considering the baby grand piano and the grandfather clock we had. It was by no means a light move, but the guys were great the whole day. After all was said and done, I paid the moving bill for Schea Van Lines, it was actually less than what I was quoted on the high end. Thanks!
Schea Van Lines - Columbus, OH to Evanston, ILI really enjoyed living in Columbus for six years, but when I had the opportunity to move back to Evanston for a transfer I was excited to take it. I hired Schea to take care of the moving we needed done. Considering it was a cross state lines move they inventoried and covered all pieces a few days prior. I liked that the furniture was being protected and inventoried with them having possession of the furniture for a few days. The actual move day, Schea Van Lines sent three gentlemen who efficiently loaded the truck. Those same three men unloaded my family two days later at the new home. I liked the consistent staff throughout. Job well done.
Wife and I had a great experience. I moved my childhood home from Bexley, OH to a new build in Upper Arlington, OH. The guys were excellent and the company was with my family throughout the move. We took a three bedroom home and a nearby 10x20 unit to the house my wife and I built. We personally wrote up the plans for nearly every wall, barrier, and flooring type. The movers being careful was a top priority of ours when hiring a mover. Very glad the men from Schea Van Lines were careful and handled things correctly.I will use Schea Van Lines again and I will recommend my friends to the service as well. www.ScheaVanLinesOH.com
Schea Van Lines in Columbus provided good service at an overall fair rate. I shopped several different companies, but found Schea Van Lines of Columbus to have the best price and most professional handling leading up to the move date. The move date itself went great as well. The men from Schea Van Lines of Columbus were very helpful and repeatedly asked if we were in need of anything additional done at the home. They mounted the television and took care of hanging a few paintings for us very leveled. The guys were great, the office was helpful with their moving tips. Schea Van Lines was the way to go.
