I leased a car from them beginning in October of 2013. The process was easy, the staff was friendly and helpful and pricing was clear and straightforward. The bi-weekly payments took some getting used to but the fact that they reported the payments to the credit bureaus quickly helped with rebuilding my credit immensely. When I had an issue with my power steering module, which was covered by the warranty, the process of getting my car fixed was simple and I had it back within a week -- they even had a loaner for me! The free oil changes is a great perk as well. When someone hit my car in a parking lot, Clyde helped me find a replacement trunk lid (which I installed myself) and even got me a great deal on it instead of having to deal with my insurance company. Sure, you pay a little bit more per month than you would if you financed a car outright through one of those other "guaranteed credit" places, but the warranty, free oil changes, customer service, and help rebuilding credit are all worth it. At the end of my lease term I ended up getting approved for a loan, thanks to my now improved credit, and purchased the car from them. I even bought an extended warranty they offer which was a great deal. All in all, 5 stars and I refer anyone I know with damaged credit, looking for a vehicle to them.

I recently purchased a Ford Edge from Auto City. I was treated with respect and dignity though the whole process. Dana and Clyde are awesome. They never looked down on me because of my bad credit and hard to prove income. Dana worked hard to get me approved though Genysis credit union for a week and never gave up on me. I never thought I could get such a nice car and I am extremely happy with it. I did have two small issues after I picked it up I called Dana and they were handle that day. I will definitely purchase from them in the future.
The people at Auto City Leasing in Waterford, Michigan are not to be trusted. This place is what gives used car dealerships a bad name. They lie, lie, lie, constantly check your credit when leasing from them (creating inquires on your report and lowering it); and also constantly GPS track where you are at all times. If you are three days late on your TWICE PER MONTH payment, or drive over 50 miles per day, they will SHUT OFF YOUR CAR, no matter where you are! This place constantly drains your bank account. They have old, bad mechanical cars (many have been in floods), and it will cost you a fortune to fix them! The only good reviews you will see about Auto City, are the ones written by the Secretary Dana (who is a nutcase). Ask around the business community before you buy anything from this place... They will tell you that they have ZERO repeat business!
Hello. Normally, I would not respond to a negative posting, but I will make an exception. We provide safe, reliable vehicles. Our vehicles are mechanically inspected and serviced. We even show the service invoices to our customers. We never sell flood, salvage, or rebuilt vehicle. We provide financing options for good and bad credit. We offer a lease to own option with no credit check for approval. Our leasing program provides a 36,000 mile warranty and free oil changes. There is no long term obligation. You can return our leased vehicle for any reason for a small fee without hurting your credit. What more can I do? If you cant afford the vehicle, bring it back. However, you must pay your payments on-time and keep full coverage insurance. Its that simple. I dont ever remember telling any customer that you can pay your lease payment when you want or let your insurance lapse during the lease. We have the ability to disable the vehicle if the customer refuses to comply with our lease requirements. We receive no satisfaction in disabling a vehicle, but we are left with no choice when the customer refuses to make their payment or insure our vehicle. We have GPS on all our vehicles to secure our interest. Our lease is explained in detail to our customers prior to leasing. There should be no surprises. We explain there are mileage limitations of 18000 miles a year. We explain the payments are collected every 14 days. We want our customers to be successful and rebuild their credit. We want to convert their lease to financing as soon as possible once their credit has improved. We know our requirements seem strict, but we offer a great program to help rebuild your credit with little or no risk. The only time we receive a negative posting is when the customer doesnt comply with the requirements. We dont lie to our customers.
