Established in 1845, Ansonia Copper & Brass manufactures castings and extrudes and draws copper-alloyed materials to semifinished forms, including rods, bars, wires and tubes. Its products are used for machining, forging, cold heading, electrical conductivity, forming, welding and stamping applications. The company offers alloying, scalping, heat treating, acid cleaning and straightening services. Ansonia Copper & Brass s extrusion department receives billets and blocks from castingand special copper alloy supplies. Its sawing and shearing process is used to bring materials to final widths and lengths. In addition, the company has casting and rod departments. With one of its plant locations in Waterbury, Conn., Ansonia Copper & Brass also maintains a facility in Ansonia, Conn.
