Very poor service and RUDE! Three times we have received crap service. They are also unorganized and will try to sell you on other issues. I would not recommended them to anyone! I don't even want to give them a star. Save yourself the hassel and go to Jefferys automotive supercenter and get treated like a human being!
Took 2 different vehicles in for alignments both times they stated needed ball joints. The first time I just pulled the vehicle from their shop and took it to firestone ball joints were good. Second vehicle I asked about about the ball joint specification they said if it looked loose they would need to replace it. I had already measure the ball joint play. Spec on this vehicle ball joint was .120", measured play was .040". They still stood behind their if it looks loose replace it policy. Sound like they hit every vehicle for an extra $700 in balljoints that comes in for an alignment even if not needed. Will NEVER go back to Scams Tire.
these guys are fast, effecient, affordable and straight forward. They work hard too.Your in and out very quickly.I had to get a tire last week and woke up this sunday morning to a flat tire on the other side.I took it in and in 20 mins i was back on the road.I cant brag enough about these guys --and they are open on sundays. They treat me and my wife very well.I tell all my friends and family AND co-workers to go there for tire needs.Thank you Hamm's
I love Hamm's Tires in Watauga! I think their prices are extremely reasonable. I also think they do a great job every time I take my car to them. The guys that work there (all of them) have great personalities and although they take care of business, they still make you feel comfortable while you wait!
I took my car to NTB and was extremely dissatisfied when I was given prices for 2 new tires and an alignment. They were a third more expensive for tires and almost twice as high for an alignment. I will not take my car to anyone BUT Hamm's from now on. :)
I can tell you, I will never shop at Hamm's. I think they deliberately try to take advantage of female shoppers because they don't think women will know they are overcharging them for tires. if you have road hazard protection, you shouldn't have to pay a cent to have a damaged tire replaced or repaired. Discount tire replaces my tires for free for as long as I have them. Hamm's is a major ripoff. I think there is a call to the better business bureau in the very near future!
I needed 4 tires replaced last March (on a Sunday) so I went to Hamms. They quoted $540.00 to replace all 4 tires. That seemed really high. Since I had to get to work the next morning (and they said the tires were not safe to drive on) I went ahead and bought them. They lied and said they were the only place open on Sundays, so I figured that I couldn't shop around for a lower price. Later that week I checked their competition and yep they had over charged me.
Well, today I got a flat and guess what? They said that even though I had "road hazard" coverage since they could not fix the tire they would have to charge me another $85 to replace this "fairly new" tire. I called discount tire to see what their "road hazard" covers and it is MUCH better! Please learn from my mistake and NEVER go to Hamms Tires unless you want to get ripped off! I plan to tell all my friends and family to avoid Hamms Porky Prices like the plague!
